It's crazy that Angel and Wesley both got help in a way in this episode , Wesley got more confidence in himself by pretending to be Angel and Angel got more enlightenment of himself by trying to be less like himself be less closed off and don't let his curse define him and yeah it's not the sex itself that gets rid of the curse it's feeling true happiness that breaks the curse , also I love that Angel kept saying Wesley is that my coat and Wesley can I have my coat back Angel really loves that coat 😂😂😂😂😂

You are correct, sex =/= true happiness, and it is the latter that breaks the curse. As Jenny's uncle Enyos said, “Vengeance demands that his pain be eternal, as ours is. If this - this girl - brings him even one minute of happiness. That is one minute too many.”

I'm pretty certain it's not just sex that breaks Angel's curse. If it was, he would have lost his soul "in that moment", when Buffy was awake. he didn't. It was later, when she was asleep and lying in his arms. That was the moment of contentment, of true happiness.

Wesley has some moves! Posing as Angel was NOT a good idea, but it did bring out some confidence in him. He's becoming a better rounded character.

Great reaction to a fun ep that did some character bits with both Angel and Wesley finding some things about themselves to some degree. But very fun bits: Angel's desperation to get his coat back and wanting to dispel the eunich angle... lol Great stuff as always, D! A CTU for you and now on to the Buffy reaction loaded today....

I'm sorry but, what is a CTU?!?!?! I've seen it in the comments a few times now and I feel like a dum-dum.😢

@jzchillin Thank you! I really AM a dum-dum and should have been able to figure that out since I hear her say it ALL the time! Lol.

So I don't know if you know this but the actor that plays Wesley in real world is married and has children with the actress who plays Willow, Allison Hannigan. Mind blown right?

Im his happiness wasn’t about sex, I believe it was more about love. I don’t think he would turn with anyone besides Buffy because she really is his “one”.

The episode literally explicitly said the curse wasn't about sex and you took away from it that it was about sex...ok then.

I'm pretty much 50/50 on if I stick around for the post-episode thoughts for reactors, and I think you might have dipped early this time, because she definitely gets it. Here's Dakara's word-for-word analysis, hopefully it wins back some of your faith in humanity: "I'm right in thinking that it's not just sex, right? There's no way. I feel like that does belittle the relationship that him and Buffy had, because he was happy prior to sleeping with Buffy anyway, it was just obviously when they slept together that was his true happiness at that point. He had everything that he wanted. I don't believe that meeting a girl and sleeping with them the same day is gonna equate to [incredulous laughter] true happiness. I don't think it works that way. I mean I get why they were like, teasing that that's the way that it works.... but it does make me question, because I know this show is written by a man is well, they might have a different feeling about it as well--yeah, I'm gonna watch this space. I'm pretty sure I'm right though. It is like a Buffy thing, not a sex thing." So... no, she doesn't come to that conclusion. She actually grasps the curse better than dang near every reactor I've seen. She has a little bit of cynical doubt (Although is ironically incorrect about the written by a man thing, at least for this episode) but quickly dismisses the doubt as too far-fetched.

@@Veryslightlymad My point was that why would that analysis even be necessary when the episode says explicitly the exact opposite.
