That's all he is and always has been. If he did good, it was out of boredom and not because of the good cause. To bridge the time until he finally has a solution for his divine punishment.

They should’ve made that more clear then, especially revealing his true nature episodes ago, like the first half of the season, yet instead, the show wants to go through his arc so quickly…..why? It wasted time (ironic given how long this season is) with what his intentions are and they kept switching up, you would think him living for so long would make him more confident in his desires and stick to them Not only that, if he’s this murderous sociopath, why write him so normal acting? It would be more interesting to have him be the killer of most cases Chloe and Lucifer go on without knowing yet, therefore when he sees Chloe as a genuine challenge to his nature, I could truly by his attraction to her the way Lucifer did, but in a darker way cuz Cain is a killer and can’t connect cuz of that and is hiding it Imagine the arc in the season with him if it was written that way

Really? Not in what we see on screen, maybe but do you remember the guy who kidnapped Lucifer in the first episodes of season 3? The guy was terrified because he failed the Sinnerman. Can you imagine what Pearce did before we met him to cause such terror... totally justified considering how that guy died

Dakara, I really resonate with your reactions to the last few episodes. Maze - burning all her relationship bridges, angry, petulant (after becoming such a great and likable character, especially during the "Canada" episode, after which she returns to Los Angeles to re-join her "family"). Chloe - making every conceivable bad choice with Cain. (What happened to her ability to spot BS from a mile away?) Lucifer - Coming to the conclusion on a dozen different occasions that he should just tell Chloe how he feels, but never doing it. It is MADDENING!! I hate it!! It is completely stupid and not enjoyable at all to watch. I feel like it is lazy writing. Clearly, the show writers are using a "let's make everything go wrong that can go wrong and have all the lead characters make an endless series of mind-numbingly stupid decisions, then we'll magically make everybody stop acting like idiots and make everything right" strategy. These actors are capable of so much more than this one-dimensional dumbed-down lazy script. It's a shame and agonizing to watch.

Have to say, really enjoy both the writing and all the characters. Yes, like most, I really didn't like Dan due to his treatment of Chloe in season 1, but he came to realize the things he did wrong and his wanting to be better, made me feel for him. Then falling for Charlotte, was great to watch. Maze showing more human qualities, while still retaining that demon, "I can tear you apart", with just one glance is awesome. Linda finding out that Heaven and Hell actually exists, yet manages to come to terms with it and continues to help... well everyone. Amenadiel losing his powers and his attempts to regain those powers by trying to guess what his task should be to regain them. Then we have Charlotte who also goes through an amazing change as she seeks redemption for her past with both knowing and helping people get away with illegal acts. Great stuff.
