Dakota Suspension Overhaul And Lift

This old Dakota got a full suspension overhaul as well as a stiffer spring in the front and an axle flip in the rear. Even though the truck only has 45k miles I wouldn't call in clean in terms or suspension parts. But now everything is brand new in the suspension. The only thing that wasn't replaced is the leaf springs and the sway bar. Thank you for watching!

Dakota 's are tricky. I wanted to do the same thing. But our lift guy here can't find parts... You ready for another Dakota?

How much lift did you get in the back with the flip?

A lot. Probably like 6 inches

@IT Performance wowwwww!!! How did you level the front? Or did you... spacers and spindle?

@Rod Rocha front was a little tricky. I got about a 3 inch lift out of it. Using a stiffer spring and a little block. But it was a little sketchy. Wouldn't recommend lifting the front without a new control arm kit.

Yes, but I'm sure they would fit other trucks

What brand, and we’re they 3”?

They were just ebay brand. I had 2 different sets. One was 3 inch and one was about an inch. The 3 inch was way too tall. It maxed out the suspension travel. So I used the 1 inch spacers

You think I could get away with a 2” front lift, without worrying about maxing out the suspension?

I think if you use the original spring it might be possible. I used the 1 inch block and some sort of HD spring. Think it is probably the spring for the 4x4 model.

How much do the parts cost to do this ?

Not sure. Customer provided all the parts. But I don't think it was too expensive. I think labor is where it's gonna get pricey.
