Thank you for uploading such a powerful story! People do not know how to handle these situations (toxic work environments) until they’ve been in one. You are helping so many people who don’t know what to look for or how to stand up for themselves. You’re an amazing example of rising from the ashes and having your dignity. I don’t know what happened to that doctor, but she doesn’t hold a candle to your perseverance. She let herself stay in the victim mindset, and you pushed through. Queen through and through.

I work as a massage therapist and unfortunately in the "holistic world" and industry this type of treatment is very common. You have employers that have a passion for what they do yet they have no idea how to run a business nor do they try to learn. A sign of someone you don't want to work for is when they talk down on the person that used to work there whether they were a good employee or not. She was such a narcissist and I'm so sorry you had to go through that.

Girl!!! It is scary how our stories are so similar… I was a chiropractors assistant for 4 years. Same interview process. I was lucky to get some training(not much) from the girl that was on her way out the door. It was so many red flags that I too ignored. Even from the previous CA she was trying to warn me 😂😂😂. I basically had to figure things out myself after she left. I was doing EVERYTHING and was so underpaid. I had to make sure we weren’t working for the same one 😂 this sounds so much like the Lady I worked for. I received a written check as well but she included the taxes that were taken out.

I need to hear that they closed down . This is not ok. Especially since it’s illegal , the right and kind thing to do would be instead of trying to excuse the behavior by saying that maybe she’s not that bad or wasn’t always this bad , to put all of your efforts into getting her to face legal responsibilities for her actions. No other employees deserve to suffer through this

The daily running of my classroom, the parents, their development and making sure all the paperwork was done. It’s very strict here in the UK.
