Every summer for me has just been melting in the sweltering heat and wishing the dread of hot weather and persistent bugs would cease, and colder weather would make itself familiar again. All in all, summer is hardly fun when you have no where to go.

oh my god the love i have for this artwork of a video is inexpressible. it's one of the rare moments that capture the feeling of wine running through veins, the fleeting spectre of youth and pure unbridled divinity. this duo's chemistry is to die for, the godly music, and the cinematography is Delight in distilled form. I’m only mid-way through and already in tears because it is actual fking perfection from start to finish. coming from a little writer vulnerable to beauty’s unexpected attacks, thank you for existing lady Dakota. your novel isn’t even published, yet it already feels infused by magic and so much soul.

this summer i started writing poetry again i’ve tried before but i was in my “if i’m not a genius then there’s no point in even trying to write” phase but talking to a stranger on the train to my hometown left me feeling inspired again, as well as watching your videos - i realised that i don’t have to be perfect, and i don’t have to show anyone my poems for them to judge looking at you and jack though reminded me of my friend who is also the only person i shared a couple of my poems with recently she sounded like she genuinely liked them and well..i know have an outlet, now i can finally let something inside me breathe, something that i’ve stifling for years so thank you for that nudge to create, Dakota

I love how pure and magical Dakota is - I imagine she's the kind of person not everyone understands because she lives in such a way that isn't encouraged in today's fast-paced society. She searches for the magic in life, cultivates living at a peaceful stride, but also embraces the uncertainty. I want to live like Dakota - because the thought of living like every day is a moment to cherish makes living far more enticing
@happinesss2
@happinesss2 2 жыл бұрын
While I agree there are people who most people don't understand I don't like that phrasing so much bc it reads so much like "not like other people" and I've met a lot of people who exude this sort of vibe of "I'm different = I'm special" and I know it comes from growing up feeling different and having to learn to love themselves despite feeling alienated, but this can easily slip into a form of inferiority complex where you elevate yourself above others, and I think everyone is special in their own way. Sorry for the long essay. I don't even know if you meant it that way (I'm sure you didn't) but it's a slippery slope. Plus it suggests other people aren't looking for magic in life in their own way that I'm sure you may not understand, either. Just general love and understanding is what I promote. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk 😅

I don't know exactly how to describe it but Dakota is such a calm yet chaotic presence in her videos. Almost like what I imagine the primordial Khaos in Hesiod's Theogony would be like in the modern world. Not chaos in the way we understand it, but a beautiful, calm kind of chaos.
