Hello! For everybody asking, the radio station we were listening to was BBC in Scotland - we don’t know anything about what program etc because we just turned it on to that (we didn’t have our phones or internet) xx

I'm pretty sure it's the voice of Chris Power and his podcast is called Open Book. he talked about dark academia in the episode he interviewed R.F. Kuang. (and he recently talked to Bret Easton Ellis).

4:19 This shot in particular, where Jack came to lie down beside Dakota, felt like something straight out of a movie. A scene people write poems about. It teared me up, this whole video is so beautiful and nostalgic. I love you two, your friendship radiates happiness and comfort through the screen

When night makes a weird sound of its own stillness, Like an inspired and desperate alchemist Staking his very life on some dark hope, Have I mixed awful talk and asking looks With my most innocent love, until strange tears, Uniting with those breathless kisses, made Such magic as compels the charmèd night To render up thy charge; Percy Shelly reminded me of this video

oh dakota this is my favourite video by far. so so pretty, and the friendship between you and jack is just so nostalgic for me. I recently moved to the city (melbourne) for uni, and so the views of the countryside are so gorgeous and homecoming like to me. also i gasped alongside you and jack at 'tiger by william blake' being read, im pretty sure it's one of my first memories of a poem that I loved and would ask my mum to find it for me constantly in our massive book of english poetry.

This is the sort of thing that, I think, everyone needs from time to time. It nourishes the soul in a way that other things just can't. Spending slow days with a friend, in quiet and words. Also, that egg-yolk sun at the end is just lovely. 💛

Sometimes I am struck by the intense desire to have someone of whom I can call my kindred spirit. Someone who shares the same values and dreams and pastimes as I. This makes me realize how much I wish I had someone who could witness my presence and whose presence I could serve as a witness for as well. Someone whose soul is as inextricably intertwined with mine, someone who I can trust wholeheartedly without fearing their anticipated flight. Of course, I still live when I am alone, but there is something magical in experiencing life with a friend.

Words really can't describe how joyful this video made me. My soul yearns to live a life like this. Running in open fields, giggling by the fire, making little cute creatures out of fruit....just living in the moment. I truly believe this is how we were created to exist.

Hello, Dakota! I've always had a deeper conection to the country side because half of my family lives there and I remember being a child and telling my dad that I also want to lived there because it was so much better than the city to me. This was such a nice video. Cozy and natural. Due to some struggles I had last year I've been feeling very alone, but this made me feel less alone you know. This is one of my comfort videos now.
