In Eye of the Storm or Arathi Basin, Camouflage is also really nice if you can combo it with Explosive Trap. Great way to yeet people off of cliffs.

Before you could hunters mark player and attack him while in shadowy duel with rogue; rogue vanishes, player can’t target hunter and dies confused

Yeah smoke bomb not good against hunter. You'll just get ice trapped tar trapped or explosive trapped out of it and shoot flare into it. 0% restealth chance. I always giggle when rogues do that.

Hunter was my main :) I posted in burning crusade and got my tier 6 gear :) and played in WOTLK. Also had a holy priest. I loved raiding 25 mans. I raided as BM. :D I leveled up as marksmanship

Bm hunters are no where near to the performance of fire mages and shadow priests. I would like to see "real data" backing up these claims rather than an angry rant. All PVP leaderboards I see have fire mage and shadow priests at the top. How is that BM hunter must be nerfed out of viability when these two other classes clearly outperform it?

Hell even in m+ and raids I’m topping dps charts and I’m rarely below 4th.. Some of these “rankings” have the BM hunter spec as low as 18-19 lol.. It just shows that instead of creating a class based on online rankings people should play what they want and then master that spec to the best of your ability

Finally figured that out this patch after 15 years of rerolling characters and chasing the meta. I now play a class I want to play even though my spec is not meta, and I play a covenant I want to play even though it isn't meta. Yet here I am already over 1800 rating and doing just fine. Having a blast.

I wish at the very least the BM spec was more pet focues like being able to choose the pets spec and have taunting aura like the locks void lord. But that means some of the ability in the BM spec will have to change, which is probably un-reasonably if a bunch of people like it or it might break pvp if it's op... sigh, I will just keep wishing lol

I've not met a spriest I can't kill 1v1 lol plus we can purge your shields and buffs. Trap ice to stop one cast explosive trap to stop next cast turtle 3rd and stun fourth cast. = priest Dead.

@@SFBay69 feign death n turtle gets out of disarm. Then it's back to business as usual taking no damage. You haven't played against many duelist bm hunters and it shows lol plus warriors are even easier once they burn whirlwind just root with binding shot and go to town.

@@Mark-ho6tn The only thing I can think of is if you are trying to dupe an enemies long wind up of a skill, so as they are casting you try and confuse them in which way you are going to run around them so they don't get the cast off. But other than that people have weird habits and have to be doing something at all times.

I hate it because it does full dmg from 30 yards while not casting a single thing. Just plain stupid design. Oh, ok...you say its for new players? Good, then nerf it. Its not fair no matter how you look at it when something that is literally THE EASIEST to play gives top results. Why even bother with classes/specs that require more than 1 button then? Fuck it. BM is hard to play against only if you are low rated. In medium-high rankings BM is perhaps the weakest PVP dps spec. Squishier than a lot of clothies, lack of cooldowns and 0 burst.
