Well put 👍 Sr. was my guy for so many years & after he died it was Jr. carrying that torch along with Martin Truex.....now I find myself not really watching a race aside from the condensed replays here as the cookie cutter tracks & lack of good personalities it's not what it once was in my view.

I believe Jr had an impact on Nascar similar to the impact Tiger Woods had on bringing new fans into golf. Dale Jr brought alot of new Nascar fans and helped keep the interest into Nascar at a time it was needed the most.

Man. I came late to the sport of auto racing, but there’s one guy that stands out to me with character, honesty, and yes love. And that’s this guy. What an impressive individual. We need more like him in this country as his dye cast was once common but now becoming rarer and rarer. I wish I would have watched him race, but he is very entertaining in the booth because he’s got an energy and honesty that is so interesting and enjoyable. Congrats to him and his family. Also his podcast is great too.

My care for watching races kinda went away once Dale Jarrett retired. I was more of a casual fan I'd say. I never paid much attention to Dale Srs or Jr's wins or losses. I did however happen to watch that 2001 Daytona 500. I was shocked that the wreck I saw, took his life, especially compared to other wrecks I'd seen. Like many, I felt sick. From then forward, being the casual fan I was, I didn't run to the TV every Sunday, but I always wanted Jr to do well. Especially when he Ironically, started driving the #88. Then, I started watching the Dale Jr Download. I became more than a casual fan of Dale Jr. Maybe it's because he talks like me (I'm from NC) and seems down to earth like most of us...but there's just something about him. It's tough not to like him. I love the stories that he tells and conjures up with his guests. I love the way he talks about his dad with respect but at the same time is just plain honest that he was a man just like the rest of us and made mistakes in life too. Junior has more money than many of us put together will ever hold. But.....you can't tell it. Not one bit. That's a great indicator of a man's soul. Congrats to him and his family and congrats to the sport for having a superstar that still cares about the fans and the sports well-being.

Wonderfully conducted. Thoroughly admire the authenticity of Dale and his humble acknowledgements to all of those who are due. He carried quite a burden as the son in the shadow of his fathers spectacular achievements but cut a path all his own and did so admirably. He seems to be the kind of guy that regular people could all call a friend. That in addition to his professional accolades is perhaps the greatest success of all. Being able to appeal to and relate with all walks of life. Both thumbs up 👍👍

I was a Dale Earnhardt fan since the mid 80's and had to share my allegiance between Dale E and Dale Jr. once Jr started racing in the 'big leagues'. When 'big E' was killed my total allegiance turned to Dale Jr.. Even though he is not racing anymore, I will always be a fan of his for life. Met him a number of times at Dale E Chevrolet, at a food place in Mooresville NC, Red Wings ball field in Rochester NY, and of course at DEI during their open houses. These times I will never forget. Fantastic speech in honoring those people who have meant so much in your career and life ! Your accomplishments speak for themselves. I’ve watched Jr drive a race car since I was 3 years old. I remember the 2001 win at the Pepsi 400. I was 3 years old but damn it I remember every lap. Every wreck and every connotation made to Dale Sr. as Jr drove that track like it was his backyard. If it’s any consolation to his fanbase I’d almost be willing to give my life up just so Jr. could have his dad there. There isn’t a man smiling harder.

Why is it that I feel like I'm witnessing an end of an era in NASCAR racing? I don't think this sport will ever have the popularity or color or excitement it did in the days I think that were NASCAR's best and that was the time between the end of the 80's up until February of 2021. This new NASCAR is so unlike what it was then and I have to admit I don't care for it much. I also must admit I was never much of an Earnhardt fan over the years but there is no denying this family's contribution to this sport and I have come to like and respect Dale Jr. as a person and he does add a lot to the race broadcasts. He's always smiling, laughing, cutting up and having a good time with his companions.

This touched me in a few ways. Dale Jr. is one of the few people that give this speech without using a teleprompter which means this speech came from his heart. For me it was not about how many races he won or championships. He was just a really good hearted person that cared more about everyone else than himself. As a fan you couldn't ask for a better role model who always thanked the fans who not only supported him but supported the sport. Carrying around that name his entire had to be enormous pressure but he humbled himself and moved on. I can honestly say I admire this young man for who he became and how he gave back to the fans that followed him and his fathers legacy. There were many times through wins, losses and death him and his father had me in tears. Jr I salute you and from this retired sailor wish you Fair Winds and Following Seas.

Flooded with so many thoughts... Early on, it was clear that Jr was consistently one of the best interviews in the sport, honest, insightful, candid ... quite refreshing really. Over time, his phenomenal development... in all phases of his life, should be an absolute inspiration to all. Living in a fishbowl, under constant intense pressure and scrutiny, despite all that ... he's still grown both professionally and personally. His Daddy would certainly be proud. We nearly lost him, both to head injuries, as well as dangerously close brush with death, in a firey jet crash landing with wife, baby girl, and their dog... barely escaped. He's morphing into the sports leading historian, and that level of knowledge and experience is growing more and more with every long form interview he performs. Best of luck Jr, to you and all those you care about. Without question, your Daddy would be very proud.

Congratulations, Dale Jr. Absolute class act, wonderful ambassador for racing, and certainly a great source of pride for your father (little aside, I was an "awesome Bill from Dawsonville" Elliott fan through your dad's career, and fans are known to maybe take racing rivalries a bit more seriously than even racing rivals might, but by 98 when your dad won the Daytona 500, even I had come around to the point where I could appreciate it). You had great success earlier in your career, some significant challenges in the middle part, and then a great rebound towards the end that should be an inspiration for others to simply fight through the challenge and see the other side. So again, congratulations, enjoy the accolades but also the future successes in your life.
