He has been fun to watch in karts, Spec Miata, MX-5, TA2, and I was blown away as a corner marshal by his LMP2 driving. The 'county fair' remark was just a kid being honest and some people trying too hard to interpret it the wrong way. I've seen his driving get bigger and better, and his media pr gets better and better year to year. Dale did a great job asking questions to highlight Connor's young life and career.

"He's a normal kid". The normal for Connor is so much more elevated than it is for other kids because he is more grounded and mature than others his age. Connor has solid confidence, yet he is so humble in his confidence because he knows that it takes work to get there, and it takes work to stay there while continuing to grow and mature. Looking at others who have achieved what Connor has to a degree and listening to them talk is miles different than listening to Connor talk. Other would be overtaken with excitement to the point that they can hardly carry on an intelligent conversation. This isn't to say that they are lacking in talent and ability. It is saying that they don't have as much control of that excitement to the point that it is a distraction for them and those trying to converse with them. Connor has learned control through compartmentalization, he understands the value of letting things function in their own environment. He is excited to work with dynamic individuals such as Justin and Dale. He is excited to drive a multitude of vehicles. He is excited to learn with the guidance of some of the best in the world. Yet he remembers where he came from and what it has taken to get where he now is. Listening to Connor talk is like listening to a person with twice his age. His maturity is a thing of beauty. Connor is going places.

I’ve been watching Connor race since 2022 when he was in Trans-Am. I knew Connor had something in him! And imma be completely honest, I see Connor Zilisch as a driver who can drive ANYTHING (like Mario Andretti, AJ Foyt, Jacky Incx, Mark Donohue, Tony Stewart, Kyle Larson, etc) when you give him a steering wheel. Like he’s got a Rolex 24 and 12 Hours or Sebring win! Personally, I think he’s way too talented for NASCAR. I just see him more as a world class American driver. Either way, big congrats to Connor.
