Early 90's we use to race go karts at the Daytona Aditorium. They would put down Coke syrup that had to be run in. Once that stuff got it's grip, It was 2 wheels all day long. Fun times as well.

What most people don't understand is that a really good driver goes into the curve much faster than most people can stand. I knew a guy who worked with Richard Petty and he was at Daytona and they were testing stock motors to see which one they were going to build for the race and he asked Richard how to keep the car up in the track in the curve. Richard asked if he was lifting in the curve. Then told him to get it in high gear and the gas pedal on the floor.
