Like Marc said. Finishing needed to be better. And I think he was right, needed 2 goals to win it. Not convinced Rochdale would have gone on to score a 2 had the score been 2-0 or 2-1. Could have tightened up defensively had they got the cushion and changed the game so Rochdale didn’t score any. Now a slight psychological mistake by Marc. I think putting it into their heads that the game needed 2 to win could have caused everyone including himself to have a game plan to score 2, also ramped up the pressure to score the second as well as adding to the worry that Rochdale are definitely going to score. But I’m talking psychologically, but got to remember Marc isn’t psychic so it’s totally understandable why he said it. And get the 2nd goal early and it’s a totally different story from a psychological point of view. Hope Dorking are able to strengthen in the Jan window. Really tight league fine margins between play-off’s and relegation and I hope at the very least Dorking Wanderers secure a 3rd season in the National League, or who knows at best sneak a play-off spot.
