Dale Steyn's bowling is a fierce combination of pace, swing, line, length, swing with aggression.Unfortunately, since 2014/15,he got injured frequently, which effected his career a lot.If not for those injuries,he could have bagged many more wickets. He stood at no.1 ranking in tests for a record 263 weeks!!! In Odis too,he is good. When it comes to T20Is,he is very impressive and he is one of the top 3 pace bowlers in the format. In IPL,he is successful too.He holds the record for most number of dot balls bowler in a single season. He bowler 211 dots in 2013. Unarguably,he is the best bowler of this era.

Nick: An outswinger curves away from a right handed batman and curves in to a lefty. An inswinger does the opposite. The delivery is done at pace and the ball is made to land on its seam which causes the deviation. In the air think cutter or slider for an outswinger. Two seam fast ball or maybe circle change up for the inswinger. The ball is held along the seam. A spinner holds the ball across the seam. An off spinner turns the ball into a right hander from the pitch and away from a left hander. He spins the ball mainly with his fingers. A leg spinner turns the ball the opposite way to an off spinner. He uses his wrist more than his fingers to turn the ball. Bowling from either the off side or on side of the wicket varies these effects but doesn't change the basic nature of the delivery. Spinners also use what is known as an arm ball (offspinner) and flipper (leg spinner) where the ball looks like it will spin conventionally out of the hand but goes straight on. Spinners also use drop and drift which causes the ball to dip down or move to the opposite way of the spin. I think like a curve ball or a screw ball? Fast bowlers use palm balls in the same way, I suspect, as pitchers, by using a fast ball action to a ball that arrives at a slower pace. Fast bowlers will also throw in a junk ball held across the seam which lands off the seam and imparts a delayed tennis ball bounce. Hope this helps and doesn't just confuse you.

IT'S NOT SPIN ON THE BALL IT'S SWING! 😉 I'm only shouting for comedy effect A swing ball acts like a spin ball but doesn't really spin in the air. It curves in the air and depending on what side the shine is on the ball determines what direction the ball pitches.

Guys I have seen way too many videos of you guys confused about a cricket ball movement and calling it different things that I can't hold it back now. Please let me explain. Unlike in baseball, in cricket the ball is required to bounce once before reaching the batsman. This opens up huge opportunities to fox the batsman with speed, spin or swing of the cricket ball to ultimately either have him lose his stumps or nick a catch to a fielder. Now coming to bowling. Two major categories as you have already seen is pace bowling where bowler relies on speed of the ball to deceive the batsman and spin bowling where bowler can apply a spin on the ball to either move away or come in to the batsman after pitching/bouncing on the ground. There is whole lot technique and guile related to bowling and each type has a wiki dedicated to it but let me directly come to the one thing you guys have been singularly getting wrong. In pace bowling there are two distinct opportunities to get the ball to move off it's trajectory - a. In the air b. Off the pitch/after bouncing. When ball moves in the air, either away or towards the batsman it's called "swing bowling" and out-swinger and in-swinger respectively. When the ball does the same after bouncing it's called seam bowling or cutters. Now, coming to how ball moves in the air? Well that's due to science of aerodynamics, fielding team shines one half of the ball while letting the other half deteriorate and get scruffy. This creates an imbalance when it moves through the air and pushes the ball inward or outward based on which side the shiny half is. It's a great art to do swing bowling and takes bowlers years to perfect. I will leave you at that just know there is science and lot of work by the fielding team combined by the bowlers skills to swing that ball in the air.. If you wanna know more.. Try finding out what "reverse swing" is..!!

Guys, Royal Challengers have Kohli, Gayle, AB De, Styen. But who is the undisputed champion team in IPL, it's Chennai Super Kings. The reason is they are lead by Dhoni and he knows how to make his team win a game. You can have 11 best players in the world in your team but Cricket is a true team game. It's what the team does in the field to win that particular match. Do just enough to get that one run more than your opponent or get them all out. It is always what you do on that day of the match counts. Guys check out Chennai Super Kings, the champion team.

It's really simple if you put rotation on ball on left or right side it's spin. And spin is slow too. If it's moving in air due to moisture it's swing and if it pitches then move because of soft and hard side of ball it's seam.

*There are lots of South Indians that are trying to make Good American team but I certainly believe unless there are locals at least you can't grow in Cricket..unless local takes the sports it won't grow.. image India is jam packed with talent can't 10 Indians reach States and make team there of course they can but it won't take off unless there is some nationalism spirit in that team...US is very old team but it never takes off coz there are no locals in it... Cricket is better game coz it's nation vs nation..there is always zeal factor unlike Basebeall and football where there are more clubs n states than Nations playing against other nations*

Bowling is the Best & the most Beautiful part of Cricket Ìi̊Í 1:35 I think there's something called College Cricket going on for some yrs in US but unless you go to school level you won't get good results. Last yr Japan U19 team played in the U19 World Cup in SA & those players came from Japan's initiatives like Cricket Blast aimed at school kids, some of them grew up to play in an U19 team that made it to U19WC last yr. 2:10 Not really coz most fans are fans of their National XI than the game of Cricket, of course many are full Cricket fans too but much less in number. Hopefully that'll change coz I want all (especially Indian fans) to take interest in Associate Cricket, I like Associate Cricket (only if the team is made up of locals). 2:54 US did had a pretty decent team in the 1800s & early 1900s (do google on Cricket history in US, you'll find a lot of interesting things) but icc (led by ENG, coz it's not always IND's fault) didn't allow countries outside British Empire to join which killed Cricket in US, ARG, etc. But in past few yrs (since IPL was formed) there has been 2-3 such attempt in US to create their own t20 league (all failed) which almost always seem to have mostly Indian market as target (formula for failure IMO) without having a strong domestic market (w/o domestic market I doubt any t20 league will stand, SL too failed on that but they're trying again, CPL tried to attract more Indian audience by changing match timing due to time difference & started losing home audience so they refocused on domestic market again). 3:36 That's still not true (especially Bowling), if they were transferrable skills then we would've seen some baseballers at least in the US team. Some Cricket coach (named Fountain) from UK with some baseball coaching in his background tried to create such players with his Switch Hit T20 project & no positive news came from it, I was following it on social media & regularly checked up on his website with hope. Also few yrs back I read a short article on Cricket in China, it mentioned men were having some trouble with it but women weren't. Now guess who among them came from baseball background, it wasn't women.
