Great job Dale... my son came home from CU Boulder in his freshman year and said 'I'm going to join the navy, I saw Marcus Luttrell speak and I'm going to be a Navy SEAL'. Well like most dreams and aspirations you know it will always be an uphill battle. Marcus you, and your comrades, are an inspiration that speaks volumes to young men across this nation, please keep it up. As for my son... well he is currently a combat medic in the Navy and a sniper instructor... 6 years a SEAL. He is the best of the best because of men like you. Please keep moving forward as our nation will benefit from those that are strong.

I regret not trying harder to enlist again in 03, every single day, I'm now 45 and feel I should have went back with my brothers but Marine Corp said I was too broken!!! God had other plans, but I still regret it!!! i love this guy, I got to meet him once or twice while i was a contractor. He is the real deal, and very humble plus all around great guy. He isnt kidding about the the time frame of when it was the craziest over there. 01 to 06 was nuts. Not that its wasnt bad other times, but after awhile our government started to really come down hard on rules of engagement. This is one of the reasons contractors were used because we had very loose rules of engagement.

As a civilian I only had friends (and a select few clients) serve and not had any of these experiences in the least as far as personal military/war/violence. Civilian shooting at the range and or practicing amateur skills - even past higher level Athletics and even combat sports don't relate much, IMO. I've read most of Marcus's books and about 15 other books along the lines of this honor and seriousness. Mostly related authors and former soldiers of his caliber along with historical events. It's an absolute honor to know we have men like Marcus and his brothers (past and present) representing and protecting this country. So proud to be an American and haven't said that in a long, long time. This is quite possibly the best single podcast episode and likely the best conversation across multiple related human disciplines of the highest order of importance that I have ever had the honor and pleasure of listening to between two men. What an incredible conversation. People often have the misconception that people that live extreme lives aren’t “intelligent” in a conventional manner. Just listen to this and you’ll see how wrong you are. Y’all two are geniuses in your own rights.

Marcus Luttrell, I have so much respect for you sir. I read you book "Lone Survivor," and saw an interview with you with a liberal media reporter (can't remember her name) but you respectfully put her in her place. God bless you and your family and thank you for your service to God and country. SEALs are a different breed of men and we need men like YOU!

Kind of sad learning that the guy who saved Marcus kind of exposed his story and lies. Either way this mans alive so i guess thats all that matters

It’s a disappointing thing for sure that Marcus would lie like that Of course, you should be looking into the author of Marcus’ biography. He was writing while Marcus was still in hospital basically. He was commissioned by the us to write ut

Now the truth is starting to come out about what really happened on that mtn…. Lutrell has no problem going on podcasts that hail him as a hero HOWEVER the ones that want to ask him questions about what REALLY happened he dodges them. His fellow seals dodges them

This is the best Podcast ever. I found it interesting that every time you brought up DJ Shipley Marcus changed the subject real fast. Every operator says DJ is the most deadly man alive. Everyone watches what they say about him. DJ is the most deadly DEVGRU Team 6 Operator, Period.

Marcus changed the subject when I brought up really anyone outside himself. He didn't speak on anyones behalf, Dj just happened to be one of the people. Marcus and Dj are tight. i have hung out with them together and seen them interact.

@@DaleBrisbyBullRider I totally agree Dale. I meant nothing negative with my comment. But you never see anyone talking about DJ. Him and Marcus are both American legends. I have nothing but respect for them and you. Again, that was my favorite podcast from you. 🇺🇸

O Marcus can pump you up can't he! That gave me peace of mind knowing that there are warfighters still in this country that can train those that have never fought in a war. But more than that if The Almighty has our back can't nobody beat us! What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

I would legit watch a video on the proper rules and regulations to being in Texas. Also it's funny Mr. Luttrell mentioned atheists and fox holes. Not that Navy boot camp is all that difficult but something clicked for me pretty quick and I found God through the Navy. Certainly one of the greatest gifts I'd gained so far. I have to add that Mr. Luttrell and I share the same exact perspective on the "being in prison" analogy he has. I wouldn't call it prison, but I see those dying as God bringing them home. Wonderful conversation, thank you for posting this video.
