OnePlus Open I Dont Trust The HYPE

I would say that in my experience there's nothing wrong with the OP Open! Sure it has it's software hiccups but every phone I've ever used has had those to some extent. And it has some really outstanding hardware. The thing is it doesn't do anything that wows me. Like it's great and all, and I enjoy using it but it doesn't hit for me the same way Samsung does. It's nothing wrong with OnePlus, it's me😅

Exactly, that's how I feel about the OnePlus Open. Nothing necessarily wrong with it, but it just wow me either. It didn't wow me like Samsung's Z Fold 5 does, and to a lesser extent, the Google Pixel Fold. Probably because I know that it's a knock-off of the Oppo Find N3.

@@Super-c00n calling the OnePlus Open a "knock-off of the Find N3 fold isn't really accurate though. I mean it's basically the same phone just with a different brand. Kind of like Honda and Acura. For me I found the hardware to be fairly impressive but the software is just fine. Not bad but nothing special. And overall I prefer the experience using the Zfold 5. The weird thing for me is that even though the software on the Open is exactly the same as the software on the OPPO I'm discovering that for reasons I can't really explain I'm preferring it on my X7U. I really don't understand why 🤷😅

I do think I would prefer the default being landscape mode. That way you get shorter front screen for one-handed usage. But that doesn't appear to be the way things are trending with oppo and Pixel seemingly pivoting towards something closer to what one plus has. I do kind of like that passport shape that the pixel fold and surface duo have. All of that said, looks to me like OnePlus has the fewest weaknesses on paper. Obviously superior silicon to the pixel. Superior multitasking to the pixel. Superior cameras to the fold. Superior design to the fold etc ..

I personally would give camera to Pixel and Design because I like both better on the Pixel Fold. But everything else I think is better on OnePlus besides the software. But I don’t care for the multitasking features I literally only do split screen at max so even my slab can do that. But I did enjoy the Open. Looking forward to the OnePlus Open 2

jumbo boi Also the battery in the OnePlus isn't just slightly larger than the Osmo Pocket 3. It's 4 times the size. With that in mind the Open actually does charge faster.

I'm using stock launcher and stock icons, just turned on the material you theme built in to OxygenOS. No launchers or icon packs installed. And I have rotation turned off. So that's why the option comes up to rotate it. So what are you talking about?? 😂🤣

I sold off this hone due to inconsistent camera. There is massive colour shift from 1x to 3x. Also, stabilization is not that good. Last but not the least, Portrait video sucks.
