Damn I never thought about not being able to change the front to inside screen from that perspective. I could see myself being the same and wanting the consistency between screens. Feels more like one device that can transform, vs two separate devices
@DalevonDigitalКүн бұрын
Bruh this is what I've been trying to tell people. It's so much easier if you set the screens up just right. Having two different layouts to me is a bit difficult to get a grip of. I literally use both screens all day. And it's faster and easier to learn when they are similar.

The picture quality on this phone is more than satisfactory for me. Im far from a pro photographer... As a point and shoot photographer, this is easy to use and takes quite good photos. Literally every other aspect of this phone is fantastic! Glad I made the jump.

Definitely true. Like I said I think for most people it's awesome and good enough. I'm a special case foreal. But like you said everything aspect of this phone is fantastic. 💯

I waited for the iPhone 16 series and just wasn't feeling it, and that was with me owning an iPhone since the 4. Switched to the S24U and although it is a beast of a phone, I feel as if the Pixel would have been the better phone for me. I was a huge fan of the dark icons on iOS 18, and the Pixel has the same thing in a way, but the S24U lacks in that respect, at least officially. Also, I miss FaceID. Some may prefer the fingerprint, but I find FaceID more convenient and with the Pixel I would have that option for banking and such most of the time, something you can't do on Samsung. And I absolutely hate how much is duplicated on Samsung's side to what Google already offers. Let me just sign in to Google and be done, but you can't do that with Samsung.
@DalevonDigital17 сағат бұрын
You should definitely try a Pixel and see how you like. It's really great this year. Google made the right changes.

I have just come across your channel what's a great video thanks I hate it when KZbinrs just go on about benchmarks all the time in the real world 99% of people don't give a shit about benchmarks as long as the phone performs well I was looking at four devices as my upgrade Honor V3 Honor magic 6 pro Pixel 9 pro fold Pixel 9 pro xl I love the lock of the honour phones what I hear their after sale support is shockingly bad also they don't have a great record for software updates either It will either be the pro fold order 9 pro XL due to the features you mention on your other video and the quicker updates Pixel 9
@DalevonDigital17 сағат бұрын
Facts brother I also don't like KZbinrs who talk about benchmarks so I literally don't bother with them. Real world usage always win. Give the Pixel a try. I think you might like it.

The Pixel Fold unfortunately failed miserably at JerryRigEverything. He was able to break it quite easily etc. which is unfortunately an exclusion criterion for me. Also that the display is supposed to creak for many people.

I just can't imagine not having both a slab and a foldable They're both awesome for different things. But if I could only have one it would be the fold
@DalevonDigital2 күн бұрын
I could definitely live without a slab phone. I'm so sold on photos and the pixel fold 9 Pro is so good that it makes me not want to use a slab. Only flaw the camera. Other than that I have no need for a slab.
@joshuabergeman3542 күн бұрын
@DalevonDigital and that makes sense for you! The problem is that foldables will "probably" never have the cameras that are as good as a slab. It's just a matter of physics because you can't get a foldable thin enough and still have the space for bigger image sensors. But if you prefer real cameras then it doesn't really matter. But for me I just love mobile photography and foldables. So I will always want a slab for pictures and a foldable for everything else.
@DalevonDigital2 күн бұрын
I personally think it will happen one day. Technology continues to evolve. We will definitely get Pro level cameras in a Foldable one day. But even with a Pro camera in a Foldable I'll still carry my real camera. I'm a man of high quality.
@joshuabergeman3542 күн бұрын
@DalevonDigital pro level cameras on a foldable for sure but I suspect that they will always be behind slab phones just because the physics of bigger sensors conflict with the physics of thinner more slab like foldables. But I get that you're primarily a real camera guy and real cameras will always be ahead of phone cameras for same reason that slab cameras will always be ahead of foldables, physics. And I plan on getting a real camera some day. But right now the thing I love about phone cameras is the stealth factor. Like if you see someone with a camera, you know what they're doing, but if you see someone with a phone, they're just one of dozens of people holding their phone. So for me it gives my nerves a little bit of a break to not be so obviously taking pictures 😅
@DalevonDigital2 күн бұрын
The thing with physics is that physics can change any cell phones. It depends on how they designed it, so it's definitely a very high possibility that we can get the same ones across the board.

The last device that I stressed battery life was the S22. I made a “conscious” decision not worry about battery life and just use and charge as needed. That decision resulted in a better experience for me at least. People are just too obsessed with SoT and battery health 😂 (iPhone folks you know who I’m talking about).

You are absolutely right about the Pixel having quality of life features. I am using a Pixel 9 Pro. I was using a Samsung s24 ultra and coming from the ultra, there were some of the customizations that I was missing. But when I thought about it, the features I was gaining by switching to the Pixel, like call screening, voicemail transcription, and hold for me, were more useful to me then being able to change my icons. So, the pixel has been a welcomed change.

Nice review! However, please also address the front-facing camera's nighttime video quality on Pixel phones. It performs terribly, and Google has neglected to fix this for years. Unfortunately, many reviewers choose not to discuss this issue instead of pushing for change. While it's a great phone overall, it's hard to recommend considering such problems, especially at a top-tier flagship price.
@DalevonDigital8 күн бұрын
Thanks man. I appreciate you watching. I agree they should fix it. I just don't think the front camera is that important to a lot of us reviewers, it's far more important things I would like them to fix or change over the front camera. I'm only speaking about my personal preference because I don't use the front camera at all. But I get your point. I'll probably bring it up in a later video. I'm sure it's more people that care about it.
@WladVideoChannel8 күн бұрын
@DalevonDigital well, the front camera is just the top of the iceberg which is very prominent. The same issue is also present on back cameras, but due to physical characteristics they perform overall better. However, at nighttime and especially with an ultra wide lens, the footage becomes way too noisy. Literally the same story, the front camera one is just too critical when you can't understand whether it rains or is this THAT awful noise... So the issue is definitely global. Thanks for your reply!
