I shot a nice ram in the Yukon in 1982, I,m 91 now and can still remember how good those ribs tasted. Sheep hunting is hard work and if you don, t get yourself in top notch condition, don't even go. In 1979 , I took a ram in Alaska, it was a 25 mile walk into camp and 25 miles out.Now I can barely tie my laces but there was a time--.

Congrats on a great ram! There are adventures in the outdoors and then there are Alaska Adventures! Nothing compares to a backpack Dall Sheep hunt, nothing!! For 10 days you are in the most remote, rugged, desolate country and add the weather factor to it, holy smokes, it does not get any more adventurous! Thank you for sharing yours! Jason would be proud😎

With high mountain animals they will move further and further away from people and not come back. The ram seeing the one getting shot will move deeper 5the mountains to surprise habitat. It would take 5 years for Dall sheep to return to coastal mountains with a hunting moratorium.

This area is extremely pressured and you are almost guaranteed to be competing against resident hunters for the few remaking sheep left. I don’t think this outfitter will rest until the last legal ram is killed and posted on KZbin.

The only reason one’s feet would look like that is because of poor quality boots. I highly recommend schnees boots only.

Fish and game are too greedy for the tag money. They need to let populations of high mountain game build more more. They depressed Mountain goat populations permanently by over hunting. Animals will stop using landscapes of fear like Wolves showed in Yellowstone.
