Section 40 was the most coveted piece of real estate in Dallas' history all the way back since the beginning of the series. Miss Ellie almost tapped into the section unleash billions of gallons of oil when JR Mortgaged Southfork for the southest asia oil wells when the bank was about to foreclose on the ewing oil company after a typhoon hit the rigs. They coudl have taken southfork's land but Miss Ellie owned the mineral rites which were left to her by her father Aaron Southworth.

Jeremy Wendell should of kept in big mouth quiet because the Dallas Police Department did bug the office in order to capture Jeremy Wendell once and for good. This is my personal opinion and should be respected as such if you want me to do the same to you.

This is how the Ewings are. Even though they have their fair share of arguments, when they work together like this, nobody can beat them. It was great to see Bobby and JR work together to get Jeremy Wendell. Jeremy Wendall is the only person that could even hold a candle to JR.

Jeremy Wendell was a great character: getting rid of him was a big mistake. Even if you hated him - he was always worth watching - IMO he was nastier than JR - thats what made him so great to watch.

Dallas Detectives would not arrest him, the range war happened in Braddock County where Southfork was, not in the city of Dallas, Can't believe it took me 20 years to notice that. BTW: Who does a deal like that and just hands over a deed without using an escrow company?

The days of Jeremy Wendell were over. Wendell was not a human being. And that´s why hard to beat but the law of the life is said also said in soap operas. If you don´t belong anymore to the story persons like Wendell are also history.

@pettyofficer30 I know! Both are corrupt, old weasels that think they are so damn special! Getting Academy Award winner George Kennedy for the last 3 seasons was a redeeming point for a tanking Dallas. This season ('88-'89) was the last "decent" season as Linda Gray would leave after its conclusion, completing the Hagman/Duffy domination of the series. The nonsensical return of Lucy was hardly enough to make up for the loss of Gray, Principal, Presley or Shelton. Should of left Lucy in Atlanta!
