Dallas Season 6 - Cliff

J.R. always had a superior ability to see the truth of things. He rarely admitted the truth to himself or to others, but when he was truthful with someone else, there was no way they could argue with him. This was one of those rare scenes. When he says that Cliff let himself down--stole money from his mother he couldn't pay back--he's exactly right. It was refreshing to finally hear someone say it after all the hand-wringing everyone did over "poor" Cliff Barnes.

True. J.R. was a realist. But it was how he said it, rarely any compassion. Bobby now, he would have gotten through Sue Ellen. With J.R., I found it hilarious Sue Ellen often said to him, "I don't understand". Sue Ellen was a straight forward, non game playing character early on and J.R. constantly wheeling and dealing. It wasn't her thing to play games or wasting time.

I remember the cliff-hanger. Sue Ellen had a nice hairdo…then through the magic of television she changed hairstyles in this episode. This was the beginning of the end of Dallas…

@jksonny this was funny in Dallas during the hair decade. For one or two seasons all the women got their hair changed, looked weird but hey, it was the 1980s!

Sue Ellen got a hair cut while in the hospital visiting Cliff? 😏 Loved her long locks..the short hair aged her a bit. Made her look her age..in her 40s. She has great hair, but Linda is playing a character 7 years younger according to Sue Ellen being 20 in 1967 when she won Miss. Texas.
