I really like how not only you get things you can keep, but also it's good for the environment and protects kids and fish from hurting themselves on something sharp. You can also find things like guns that can be linked to cold cases, helping the families.

The syringe, plastic cup and half scissors were probably a homeless person's belongings. It's not uncommon for homeless to seek shelter under bridges and they could use the scissors as a knife. As for the food it was probably part of a memorial for someone who passed away near there. People will leave flowers or their favorite food or a personal object of the deceased.

This reminds me of a time I was out with my family picking up trash, there was a big medal barrel covered in rust in a river, my older brother, Emmet, said he would give me 10 dollars if I got it out,I started pulling it out. My mom then said she would also give me 10 dollars if I got it out, my twin brother, Patrick, helped me get it out. Many people clapped and cheered when we got it out. It was one of the proudest moments of my life because that barrel had been in there forever.

I’m so glad you pulled all that bad stuff out of the water. Life feels threaten when all those polluted messages invaded the pristinements of that place and maybe cause dis-enchantment due to haste/shame related negligence. You guys have done so much for the place and time unmeasured.
