You should better define what “keying” in means for designers and architects. Basically it’s a skim coat using the flat edge of the trowel to makes sure all pores are sealed on the porcelain and substrate. It also helps the notched coat adhere better when applied. Correct me if I’m wrong... The use of the vibratory tool is clutch!
