Thank you Dalton for your soothing videos. I had to help my yorkie cross the rainbow bridge on July 4 and I’ve been a basket case since then. Your videos are the only thing that relaxes me and allows me to get any rest.

Oh hello Dalton! ☺ I almost didn't recognize you, haha, but your sweater betrayed you. I can still remember that blue and white eye-catcher very well, it wasn't that long ago. But something is still different than usual... okay, give me a little more time, I'm sure I'll find out what it is at some point. Let's start with the video first. 😄 I found the scanning with the “Long Doge” very interesting right at the beginning, especially because of the suitable scanning noises that you simply produced yourself with your mouth. I really like these kinds of “mouth sounds” that are supposed to imitate certain noises. It's often nicer than adding digitally generated sounds to the video. It has something so simple and natural about it. Children often just do this when playing. Brushing my hair and tapping on the great wooden ball are of course classic triggers that you have incorporated so wonderfully here. I really enjoy them, while I had to think hard about what time it actually is and which side I should be looking at, haha. The first time you confused me a bit more was with the Warhol book. While I was still thinking about which hair color I have 😉 and which character I should choose accordingly, we all jumped to the right several times. And I think I ended up with the cute pig. By the way, pigs are supposed to be very intelligent, sensitive, quite social and have an incredible long-term memory. Incidentally, I couldn't decide between MIB and Matrix style for the sunglasses. 😎 But I also really liked the sentence that you said: “You have got a wonderful imagination. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.” 🥰 Sentences like that also boost your own self-confidence. Above all, sometimes it's really fun to imagine things that are unrealistic and a bit silly and don't always have to make sense. Fantasy or imagination is something incredibly beautiful and anyone who has it can feel lucky and should use it, because life is already serious enough. The Rubik's cube and its colors really triggered me too. I also own one, which is probably older than I am. It's not as well sorted by color as yours, it's pretty mixed up and I've never solved it yet. I manage to sort maybe just two colors. 😅 I think the birthday thing and focusing on the corresponding colors is a pretty good idea. Unfortunately, it didn't work well for me at all. 😉 I can only focus on green, there's nothing I can do, lol. So I'll try it the other way around with logic, from the color to my birthday. My birthday is at the end of winter. According to your instructions, I should concentrate on blue. But since it's almost spring and everything turns green again in spring, I think that would be the more logical color. 🙃 That's why I just focused on green, I mean that color was also on your cube, haha. And the rotating sound of the cube on your hands also sounded very calming and pleasant. The rustling of autumn leaves is always a very nice sound. When it comes to age, they generally say you're as old as you feel. And I've been saying for ages that I feel like I'm 25 and have somehow stopped there. At least you don't get any older mentally, just wiser, I think. 😄 So should I look left or right now, haha? The instructions with Groot were also very good. The little one also looks irresistibly cute. 🥰 But here, too, I found myself in a quandary. Where should I look and where would I rather look, lol? Theoretically, I shouldn't look at Groot because my eyes aren't my favorite color. I'm totally jealous of you now. 😉 My parents decided to pass on their blue eyes to me, which I was quite happy with until just now. But now it's gone badly for that instruction, hahaha. Now I get to admire your nose, which isn't bad in itself, but Groot is somehow more seductive I think. 🙃 The task that drove me the most crazy was the one with or without glasses or contact lenses. Okay, I'm definitely one of those super humans who can manage without them so far, but many of the following instructions sometimes made me wonder where I was supposed to look. I think you got a bit confused there too, haha. Accordingly, this task was also the funniest in the whole video, I think. 😂 The last two tasks with the bubble wrap, the blue cotton and the click fish calmed me down a bit after the excitement before. 😌 Okay thank you so much, Dalton! 🤗❤ I had quite a lot of fun with this crazy video full of silliness the last three days. I've been actively watching it, but also letting it play to fall asleep. Although you definitely whisper faster here than in most of your other videos, it put me in a very relaxed and calming mood while watching, as I could always focus well on your instructions, which were often very funny and sometimes a bit confusing, where I sometimes had to think twice, lol. A lot of things also made me tired again and again and it was nice that I could do a lot of things with my eyes closed. I also had to laugh really often. And it is generally known that laughter has a relaxing effect, reduces stress, increases well-being and is simply healthy. So thank you again for this health-promoting video full of fun and good humor. 🥰 Very nice hat by the way! It was so inconspicuous the whole time in the video and you distracted me so much with all your instructions that I only really noticed it at the end. 😜💚

Haha yeah this video was a bit of an odd duck to put together and 'perform' (really felt like I had to act trying to remember all these instruction lines). Kind of a bummer to see it didn't do so well! Probably the weird thumbnail lol, oh well tired of trying to fix it, on to the next video! Curious, I've done two instruction videos in the past, did you find this style more your style or the other two slightly slower paced ones more your style?

@@DaltonDoesASMR I'm sorry for you that this video didn't go so well. But maybe it's not necessarily because of your video. Perhaps external circumstances are also responsible. I don't know if the so-called summer slump plays a role in the ASMR sector, but in many countries it's currently summer vacation time. It's warm, people are doing more outdoors and generally watching fewer videos, as is the case with film, television and many other areas of the media industry. I've also had a look at some of the other channels I'm subscribed to. That also seems to be the case with many of your colleagues at the moment. And some even have more subscribers than you and nevertheless unfortunately very few views. I will also have less time than usual over the next three weeks, as we have long-term summer guests coming in the next few days and I am always much busier than usual. My sister is visiting us with her family and my little nephew will of course want to play a lot with his favorite aunt, haha. And when I fall into bed dead tired in the evening, I'll probably be dozing off to your voice within seconds. 😴 Okay, which of the videos are more my style? You know, these are questions that I can't answer so easily and straight away, because I really love all your videos. 🥰 Firstly, your voice, your whisper or even very soft spoken or a mix of these are the most important thing, no matter which video. And the whole thing is preferably ear to ear, because I love the feeling of having someone standing next to me. Secondly, the slower the pace, the more relaxed I find it. However, that doesn't mean that this last video of yours wasn't relaxing for me. The pace was still comfortable enough that I could definitely find peace and I still understood you very well. There are many, many videos out there that are so fast-paced that there's no way I could fall asleep to them. Thirdly, in terms of instructions, there are some in each video that I particularly enjoyed. I definitely love word associations or finding word opposites, but also creating and imagining images in my head for certain instructions. Apart from that, counting things and remembering certain sequences also stimulate me, as well as guessing objects - all mental work that I can do with my eyes closed. Fourth, instruction videos should not be boring (and yours are definitely not boring), but also provide a bit of entertainment. You've done that especially with your last video. Fun, humor and a bit of silliness is always great and provides variety, lightness and amusement. And the fact that the instructions are different for everyone depending on the situation was a really charming and nice idea. It's a bit like video games, where the storyline changes depending on the choices you make. Actually, I don't think the thumbnail has put people off, rather the opposite. Such colorful images tend to make me curious and I click on them all the more. It's like the covers of a book. If it's eye-catching, it arouses my curiosity and I'm more likely to read the blurb. So in conclusion, I think a mix of the three instruction videos would be worth a try. And definitely with pleasantly soothing triggers for the ears and eyes to complement the whole thing. I also thought of something that might help you to push your videos even more. I don't know if it makes sense, but how about publishing one or more shorts with a link to the video (also on other platforms) for a video that is currently still in early access mode, as an announcement or advertisement and small tidbit? I think it would perhaps provide even more range in advance and arouse curiosity before the actual release. Just like short and snappy teasers and trailers often do for months in advance with movies. It would also be an interesting way to promote your members' area, because images and especially moving images arouse more curiosity than text, I think. 💚
