On Friday July 7th a flood started happening in a castle and then at 1:09 P.M a crack formed causing the other side to start flooding we don’t know when the inside of the wall started cracking but survivors claimed at around 1:37 P.M the walls started to bend outwards meanwhile out side they found out the tiny corner had also flooded and that there was only one survivor by 2:25 P.M the water was up to knee level and the survivor slipped and fell he didn’t know how to swim so he drowned. At 2:47 P.M survivors claimed leaks had started so there was multiple cracks in the structure and that the inside of the wall had collapsed. Now that the water was up to neck level at around 3:27 P.M people said that there was a lot of panic and 2 had of them fainted and fell because of that they couldn’t move so they drowned. Survivors heard roars at 3:35 P.M and a few minutes later the wall’s floor collapsed the exact time of the floor collapsing is not known yet. It is estimated to be around 4:00 P.M when it collapsed. 4:31 The people couldn’t react in time and they fill in the bridge. 5:09 By the water was extremely high and the leaks where too much after it overflowed over the wall it started flooding much more quicker and by 6:06 They said “It’s over for us” and “The other side is also flooding and we didn’t even know!”. 6:39 Suddenly a shark appeared and tried to attack but failed. 6:48 The water was almost flooding the second wall and the third wall was halfway filled. 6:55 People said they feel the third wall moving when they started hearing roars and crashes and splashes below it and people that still had survived the 3rd flood said they saw the second structure bend outward before bending inwards and others said it was the bricks below the third structure that had started collapsing inwards. 6:59 P.M suddenly the wall fell on top of everyone nearly covering it there was still an air pocket that a survivor was swimming in when they removed the fallen wall the next day. 7:08 The second wall collapsed inwards when people suddenly disappeared in a matter of seconds. 7:11 The wall collapsed completely crushing anyone below it but the air pocket still saved the man other people didn’t not survive because of it collapsing it opened a path for the rest of the castle to be flooded.

The tragedy ended the very next day. 21 out of 26 people survived 0 out 1 animals died Yes I used the date of when the video came out but the time was the minutes and seconds the video was.
You can really tell how hard the wall is working to keep the water back by the amount of sweat pouring off of it.

The time was 0:50 by English reckoning when it happened. The scouts of the Eastern watch had reported a gigantic storm coming weeks before. This storm had brought an entire ocean’s worth of rain, as well as powerful winds and fierce lightning. No sooner had the storms ended than the outpost reported a gigantic dam break at their river, and so the castle guard of Anglehard were placed on high alert. The scouts of the outer watch-post spotted the rising water first, and with a trumpet blast alerted their comrades. They fled for higher ground, but too late was the time, for the sand beneath their feet was washed away and they fell into the dark depths of the water, never to be seen again. The watchguards upon the wall sounded the alarm. The entire castle of Anglehard was awake in an instant. Guards rushed to the walls, and officers desperately tried to find out what to do. Barricades were thrown up and the gates were sealed. Henry, commander of the castle, claimed it could not be breached. He was confident in its strong structure. By 2:09, the first wall began to leak. Soldiers attempted to patch it, but to no avail. The leaks continued and the officers rushed to ask Henry for orders. He was unfazed, saying that the leaks were a mere side-effect and the wall would remain strong. By 3:16 the water had risen high enough that a full grown man would have to wade inside the first court area to move. The area was evacuated per orders of Henry. Stress could be heard from the inside of the first wall. Cracks covered it and water spilled down. At 4:04, the first wall began to cave. The water was rising through the foundations, weakening it. Even Lord Henry, confident as he still was, showed small signs of anxiety. The top of the wall was evacuated, but a few did not make it and were claimed by the flood. By 5:35, the first wall and court beyond had finally been completely swamped. Water splashed against the second wall as night fell. Guards anxiously watched from above with torches, light rain falling as the water rose and struck the second wall repeatedly. Already, some water was seeping into the second court. Henry, concerned, set out to the hill beyond to consult his oracles whom he trusted the most, leaving commanders John and William in charge. At 6:09, seeing that the second court was flooding, William proposed an evacuation. John, bold and arrogant, refused, saying the wall would hold. His foolish decision led to many deaths. William, the wiser, ordered the women and children to be taken in boats or sent through the hidden tunnels beyond the third wall. His quick actions saved many of them, though not all made it before the tunnels were flooded. At 7:00, the third wall, foundations weak with water, suddenly collapsed without warning, crushing many men and flinging others into the water. John, terrified of what had happened, had his arrogance broken and desperately tried to flee in a boat. The waves flipped his boat over and he and his men drowned, leaving William in charge. The last of the survivors, isolated on the second wall with water on both sides, knelt down and prayed for mercy. The wall began to cave in and they fell one by one. 7:48 the last men on the wall collapsed into the holes that had formed. They struggled in the mud and debris to stay upright, gasping for breath as the wall shook and shuddered. 8:02… finally, it was over. The entire castle had been swamped. The last survivors had drowned as the water filled the second wall. It was a tragic day, and only a handful survived by swimming. Henry had heard from the oracles that this flood was the wrath of the gods and there was no escape. Still strong in his conviction that all was well, he returned to Anglehard to find it flooded and destroyed. He blamed himself for not being there, and was bitter. A month was devoted to mourning for the many lives lost.

Given how the sand fill of the walls compacted, would it have been better to have partially flooded the wall before adding sand in order to remove the air pockets that the water would find its way through? Likely not a perfect solution, but better?
@redmist61315 ай бұрын
Good idea but I think I can improve on it a little compact it as best you can at first starting with wet sand then pour a little water into each wall then repack with more wet sand
@GreenManE4195 ай бұрын
And add clay or loam to the sand mixture. It looks like beach sand was used, which doesn't compact well due to it being too clean and not sticking together. A dirtier sand would. We build concrete house floors on sand in my area because it gets hard enough to drive semi trucks over.
@GreenManE4195 ай бұрын
Also, a better seal between the lego blocks and the wall/glass might be using bluetac or something similar. The water went round the damn before going through it. Good video but interesting concept of using Lego blocks to help support the sand. I'd be interested to see how long it would hold the water back with just a few modifications

Water conservation at its finest, the high level is inundated and seeps through barriers at stages only to prevent further inundation downstream, by letting regular amounts of pressure through and away at various stages: meandering dams like beavers build are the best, but people can maintain similar variations at cost.

that was fun, educational, eerie, fascinating, beautiful. I think all of us Lego heads have made a boat or tried to test how strong it can hold water. Pretty cool and scary (?) to see the walls sweat. Haha! Humidity much? I think we’ve all made boats out of our legos that just doesn’t float. I like the merging of sand… and the shark! I was hoping the shark went over to the otherwise. How would a tunnel made of legos underneath this hold? Again, loved this!

Before I fully watch the video, I predict that the walls will not hold because of the dam’s design; a straight, vertical wall, with nothing pushing back against the water pressure.
@kathryncampbell44328 ай бұрын
After watching the video, I can say I was wrong: the first and second walls held, but probably because of the sand filler, and the fact that there were crevices in the legos leaking and redistributing the water.

Wow, I wasn’t expecting the Lego wall to “sweat” water! Reminds me of all those stories where the walls “cried blood.” Perhaps it was just a poor person’s home and their walls were flooding and something (like dyed fiberglass) was staining the water. I’ve always figured these stories came from poorer people who didn’t investigate the issues, because creaking doors seem like basic maintenance was ignored, a whistling eerie sound is probably just a draft, and people putting flour in doorways to detect the movement of ghosts is actually how you detect pests in your home like vermin…
