My Scariest Experience in Botswana Africa 😭💔😭
We never get prepared on a scare.
In my journey from Windhoek Botswana to Gaborone Namibia, i experienced my most scary moment. Being a solo female traveller can have moments of scare. This is my story.

I actually live in Botswana and let me say I am sorry you went through this. Botswana is actually the safest place I have lived in. I wouldn’t dare travel alone though, especiallly as a woman. Take heart, that was one rotten person and I blame the bus driver. He should have been the one to book you not give you to an animal. 😢

I am Zimbabwean. I have been staying in Gaborone for 18 years now. It's unfortunate you had to go through that, but generally Botswana is a peaceful country on a different occasion you can actually love this country.

Please confirm that you will contact authorities or at the very least the Bus driver’s employer TEDDY’s EXPRESS !!!You might save a life of a future female traveler.

Terrifying. I honestly wasn't expecting to hear this horrific turn of events in your story😣 You'll pull through though. That experience can strengthen you, and help keep your third eye open to predators. Love you and bless up yourself 💯👊🏿

You may have to get in touch with the Botswana authorities (police), or someone from Botswana can show this video to the Botswana police so they can do some investigation. You can help save others from this predator. Botswana is generally a good and peaceful country, and the police are not as corrupt as police from many other African countries. Stay safe.

Have been to Botswana about 7 times. I was actually there 2 weeks ago. I love the country and the people there. They are very friendly. It's quite unfortunate that you had to experience this. Be safe and don't let that person ruin your stay there. You will love the place.

I m originally from Uganda but I was raised up in Botswana for about 14 years before I moved to the US but what I would recommend you is to be very safe when traveling around Africa. Indeed Botswana is one of the most safest countries but doesn’t doesn’t rule out the fact that there would be some rotten apples who would be disrespectful esp a woman traveling by yourself, you should really consider traveling with a male partner or/ friend to be safe because this could happen anywhere not only Botswana. I haven’t been back to Botswana in about 11 years but i plan on flying back there with my wife in a year or two from now. I just stumbled upon your page and will keep watching your videos!!

Wode Maya is a male and he still travels with other people. Your brave, it's incidents like these that turn a kind heart cold. Like you said your angel was watching over you and things didn't get out of control. To me it was a red flag when the bus driver kept touching you...and when two men(At Nite?) you don't know are talking concerning you and you don't know what their saying...BEWARE!

I am so glad that you are okay, Damaris! You handled the situation very wisely, thank God! Beware of those who approach you like they care ( like the driver). I can't understand the mindset of some people. It's disgusting!

This is an unfortunate incident indeed. Now... Before you talk yourself out of it. Reclaim your strength by reporting it to the authorities. Makes sure your report is as detailed as possible. This will help them for other cases in the area of harassment/sequestration cases, disappearances etc...
