Phillip - the knife isn't illegal, it just can't be carried by anyone in public that doesn't have a 'good reason' & the same applies for making other knives. Alec can pretty much make whatever he wants to long as it isn't a specific illegal knife such as gravity knives, ballisongs etc...

philip james we were in town for the collab and a conference. Made sure not to actually be carrying the knife - only had it out in the shop, and was packed away in our suitcase for transit back home

That knife is a beautiful design, and the Dama steel is amazing, the only gripe I personally have is that its lock back, not my favorite to use. the thumb "things" are called thumb studs. Amazing work!
