Really loving this series Tim, the scenery, the history, the humour and the riding all makes for a great watch. There is nothing else quite like your take on touring on YT. I didn’t get to watch it til this morning in the sun with a coffee it’s unbeatable, thanks and looking fwd to the next instalment (that’s not a hurry up, just a mark of how much I enjoyed it).

Ah thank you so much, that's far too kind. I really enjoy making them - they don't get the views of bike reviews, but I just don't care. Will have another trip coming up in September (though I may sit on the videos until the depths of winter to give us some hope!). I'll hopefully get the third and final instalment ready for next Sunday...

@@timrodierides funnily enough I watched your Suzuki GSX S1000 GT review again today, it’s good being able to go back to your reviews for reference as I’m always contemplating ‘that next bike’ and I’m sure I’m not alone on that one. But the touring ones are a nice change of pace, funny, poignant and the riding / views are ace. I think the MT10 is so well suited to the task it’s a blast.

@@timrodierides my wife has family in Heidelberg, which we visit regularly, so you’ve inspired us to search the region for some similar history. Yes the RS was a breeze. Got a Rubicon 4xe at the moment, which is superb fun, but it doesn’t quite tackle twisties and autobahns in the same way 😃

Great vid as usual! Just wanna ask how is the wind noise with the windshield on the MT-10 at speed?
@timrodierides5 ай бұрын
It's fine… as far as a naked bike at high speeds goes. I don't notice it much, I always ride with earplugs.
@claqyagami69145 ай бұрын
@@timrodierides I asked because I installed a windshield on my little Kawa 400 and even with earplugs the wind noise was so bad I ended up taking it off again. MT-10 is on my shortlist of bike upgrades so I was interested in how it fairs with a windshield. Thanks for the reply.

What happens with the speed cameras when in Germany? is it just a fine?
@timrodierides5 ай бұрын
Yes, if they get your reg plate. But I think since Br*xit you don't get the fine following you home unless you're stopped by the police. The only speeding fine I've had follow me home in the past few years was in a German-registered car
@Neutronb0mb5 ай бұрын
Does your garmin have the speed cameras marked on it Tim? Off to Germany next week and we like to sidestep any possible German fines!
@warrenr45 ай бұрын
Don’t worry about the speed cameras. They’re mostly forward facing and even if they do get your reg no they can’t send a speeding fine to the U.K. I’ve set off speeding cameras all over Europe and Scandinavia 😆
@Neutronb0mb5 ай бұрын
@@warrenr4 I thought that had changed now and EU fines were coming to the UK again?
@stephenmcqueen40295 ай бұрын
You still get a fine, but no points
@timrodierides5 ай бұрын
I set off a front-facing one in the Harz mountains. Not sure I'll hear anything, but if I do I'll just pay the fine so I don't get barred from Germany! The Garmin shows speed camera zones in Germany, but not in France (illegal, innit)

Tim, what bike is a more fun back road blaster (not tourer), the MT10 or Hyper 950?
