I've had one (africa twin) for two years and the switchgear is a pain, but I just leave it in urban, the switch gear if awkward, but if you loosen it you can move it upwards awards about 30 degrees - making it OK. I've and people do put on a tom tom sat nav the Google of your phone is flawed, it just goes of, you need to stop to reset it and that takes 5 minutes so it's $hite, I'm really not impressed so stuck my tomtom on and noticed after 2 years that most people have done the same.

(wtf ?). Also, I'm sure the lean angles are wrong for that thing. HD's have never been good at taking a good lean at speed, more likely 32'ish, with a heavy rider on it I'm guessing. Great Review. If we want noise - buy an old bike. I bought a 15yr old FZ1 and it screams - let off and around 4k flames accompany the aggressive pops. It's otherwise a sleeper looks wise.

Great update on the Yam Tracer GT9+. So the question is out of the three touring/sports - sports tourers in this class which gets the higher Rodie score; the Tracer GT9+ , the KTM SMT 890 or the Truimph Tiger 900 GT Pro for touring through Europe? there is a fag paper between them on the spec, but on the Rodie score what say you?

Very good review but in reality the bikes suitability depends on the road conditions, Ie, a GS1300 would out perform the XR moderately easily when road conditions are a bit rougher or for touring. The XR though is realistically suited to mainly good road conditions thus would dominate most bikes there.

I had a 2017 SP and now a 2024 SP. By far my favorite bike and I used to race sport bikes. I removed the seat strap and zip tied the battery charging cable 😅. The 2024 turns the blinker off automatically 🤙

Honestly in this colour scheme it looks a bit better. But still ugly af. Get rid of that ugly headlight. Make the fuel tank less rectangular and lose those ugly frame bars on the side. And than maybe it starts looking as good as a 1250.

So bland can be good I suppose? I take my bikes around the world -- R1200GSA from Miami to Ushuaia, Argentina. F850GSA from Miami to Thailand. Bland is safe :). I've never rode a DCT but I am seriously thinking of getting the AT AS to take again from Florida to bottom of world, Ushuaia. How is it on fire roads, gravel, mud? Even with all my travels and I have traveled the world... Nothing is worse than stopping on a super steep mountain road and having to get going uphill :) -- I think DCT would be a pleasure in that circumstance ...

I was touring up the coast this week and l saw my first 2 parked up in Skegness on Tuesday. OMG they were worse in real life than l'd seen in pics & vids, lardy arsed blobs of nothingness, it's criminal that it's called a Sportster, an iconic lithe slim & cool motorbike. Wouldn't be seen dead on one. I actually saw them riding out of town and from the rear they looked comical.

Had mine about 6 weeks. Cracking bike, proper all rounder that does anything you want very well.
