I wonder why such great personalities are not glorified as much as they should be.They have touched so many lives with their thoughts and actions.Respect from India

What a wonderful and caring Lady. We first encountered Hospice when they took care of my dying father, what an awesome organization, they help the family as much as the dying! God bless her and all in Hospice.

I felt really happy reading this. I am inspired by your words about the great lady, as I am a doctor working in palliative care.

It is shameful what few programmes are dedicated to the lives of those who have improved people's lives immeasurably. Dame Cicely Saunders, Alexander Fleming and Nye Bevan to give but three examples. There should be a statue to Nye Bevan in every NHS hospital in Britain. However, the tradition of public statues to the type of people Byron described as the "Great cut-throats of history" remains the norm.

Just as an excercise - compare her to Johnson and Trump. Check the intelligence and compassionate levels.
