Judi Dench is an incredibly gifted actress, and she is definitely one of Great Britain's greatest national treasures! Her portrayal of "M" in the Bond movies was in my opinion the best of those who portrayed "M". I love everything she has acted in, and I enjoy watching reruns of her TV series "As Time Goes By". ❤

She was and still the best M! She gives acting lessons while acting! Fuentes thinks he’s playing in a Shakespeare play! Dame Dench relates to us movie goers, having been in a successful tv series movies and plays! She doesn’t act down to her audience! Unlike Fienne.

I bet she was hated when announced but for me she's 2nd to Bernard Lee. She was fantastic. It's so sad her eyes are failing. Was gutted when they killed her off in skyfall. I know technically she wasn't the same character from the original run with brosnan and that the craig era was a rebooted separate timeline. She was fantastic in both.

I agree with you on all accounts except for your ranking of her as second to Bernard Lee. I personally think she was the best "M" ever. It was heartbreaking to see her as "M" passing away before our very eyes. I had to fight back the tears at the theater while watching the scene. Dame Judi is an incredibly gifted actress, and we were very fortunate to have her as part of the Bond franchise.
