The music icon was awarded Honorary Gay at the 2023 Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, powered by Jaguar.

On no, it’s not a silly award at all. It is a recognition award. She is the most impersonated female ever by drag artists. She is adored by gay guys and she is the biggest diva ever. She’s more gay than gay. As gay icons go it don’t get any bigger than Shirley Bassey, gay guys are a huge part of her audience and have been for decades.
