As a blazers fan, I'm definitely heart-broken, not that it was unexpected, just sad to see the day has come. I feel like the Blazers can turn around pretty quick with the young guys we have, but we are gonna need some bigs. Really disappointed we let Watford go. We probably could've even used Cam Reddish. It's also a little annoying this happens on day 2 of free agency, like we can't build anything else with all the best assets gone, and that Grant contract is so ugly, he's a baller, but it's ugly. Hope we can get a three-teamer maybe? so Dame can get to Miami and we can get some young pieces/draft picks.

I feel kinda bad for the blazers fans as well but it’s not all bad cus they just got scoot and they got sharpe and Simons so they got a solid young core to build off of. Drafting great players like scoot is so important for a team like the blazers that isn’t like a huge market or free agent destination. They’re pretty much beholden to mostly building exclusively through drafting so I think it’s a good reset for them

dame probably requested a trade after the blazers just resigned jerami grant with that huge contract. he probably sees that by resigning jerami grant with that huge contract, it'll limit the amount of cap space they have to sign other players and because of that they will probably have to run it back with the same squad which we see from last season, they couldn't even make the playoffs
