This is really great music. Well written, well thought out, well produced, well executed. Even if I had never heard the name Marley at all I would see the appeal of this song. Somehow good music always comes back around to the basics. Simple yet deep relatable meditations on the wonders of women and love have created some of the most timeless and moving songs not only in Jamaican music but in all music. That used to be the basis of popular music. Cant remember the last time I heard an actual love song on the radio that wasnt from the 80's or 90's. Hopefully music goes back to basics and we get more powerful songs about the depth of mans love for woman. Don't hear too much of that nowadays in our popular culture unfortunately..
