Saw Damien Rice performed in Singapore on 3 June 2023. Raw, intense, full on performance. Brought my 15 yr old son along for the concert..... We both were blown away by his 1hr 45mins concert. So glad that we attended it. Thank you Damien

This song touches my heart and spine to the core. I have a perfect wife. Never would want to change her. She adores me for letting her be who she is, and cherishing who she is. It's so easy. I love her but also like her to death. Everything she does, everything she thinks, everything she says, everything she touches, every smiles she gives, everything she cooks and everything she plants creates magic before my eyes and heart. She is away from home at the moment and won't know I am posting this note about her. I'm just going to cry a river for a while for what this song means to the way I love her. Whenever anyone says Adele’s music is filled with emotions and that it moves you... I say “Grrrl, Damien Rice makes you want to slit your wrists when he sings!” He approaches each piece of his work with so much conviction and it’s absolutely brilliant.

Escrevi isso inspirada nessa música: Desaguar (23:23) Convergiam, devagarinho, o Mar e o Rio. Madrugada após madrugada, os pés se distanciavam cada vez mais das margens, submergindo gradualmente nas profundezas. Logo, passaram a dividir o mesmo curso, partilharam o mesmo leito. Fluiam livres de qualquer empecilho, desejavam intensamente confluir, até o dia que... Do desejo à confluência, as águas se encontraram, e nada era capaz de parar. Naquele momento, até o céu segurou o choro para não atrapalhar. A beleza da cena era indescritível, nem dezessete palavras seriam capazes de definir o que estava acontecendo ali. Infelizmente, um dia, a intensidade atingiu o seu ápice, e de repente o mar que outrora era de almirante, agora se fazia encapelado. A calmaria já não era mais companhia, e tudo o que se via eram, gigantescas, e revoltas,ondas. Inevitavelmente, os cursos se dividiram, e percorreram leitos distintos. O Rio sentia falta do Mar, de suas águas , dos seus peixinhos, tinha saudade até das ondinhas. Por um tempo tentou novamente confluir, mas era tarde demais, o Mar se fez sertão , e nem todas as tentativas de inundação foram capazes de reverter a sequidão. Cansado da frustração, encarou a desértica realidade, o Rio aceitou que as correntezas precisavam, de um jeito ou de outro, fluir por água abaixo. Depois de uns anos, conseguiu a sonhada felicidade, e até onde se sabe ainda o aguarda o desaguar em outro mar. "Este não é um texto sobre água..."
