I’ll share my experience recently. I went to check the surf and my neighbor said it wasn’t even worth bringing a surfboard. Not even a sup. And I looked at it and knew the foil would be possible. I prone surf foil, and all you need is a bump big enough to paddle into and get a little speed. As soon as you’re up out of the water, you can ride a 1 foot swell that barely even shows up on camera. Always love the information Damien! Looking into getting a board around 40L and making wing work with it.

Damo Fantastic content, watching from Sydney Australia. Absolutely loving the videos. Just beginning to wing foil. I have been following your advice on the videos. Starting with holding wing on the beach, paddle board with wing, foil board on knees, it was n by blowing 25kn went from knees to standing then the foil gave me lift 😄

Great video again Damien. Can you compare experience of efoiling to wing foiling or kite with a foil?
@DamienLeroyYouTube3 жыл бұрын
Great idea will have to do that! Thank you!

@@DamienLeroyKZbin yes very interesting. you mentioned efoil is a great way to "start" so I assume wing foiling and kite foiling is much harder? I never tried those sports but love efoiling
@DamienLeroyYouTube3 жыл бұрын
@@JetSurfingNation Yep they are harder to learn for sure! The efoil is the best way to start to learn how to foil!

if I can ride in like 12 knots with my TT and my 13m kite but struggling a bit, how much more would foiling expand my range?
@DamienLeroyYouTube3 жыл бұрын
When you get efficient at it friend! You can ride in about 4-7mph on a foil! :) It is a game changer. I would say it will open up a new world! The 4-7mph for sure is a pro rider so take it with a grain of salt! Not saying that can't be you! Not to mention you can ride your TT and 13m in 12knots but are you powered? On a foil you are powered up having fun!

@@DamienLeroyKZbin Thank you! yep 12 knots was the lowest I've ever done and it was a big struggle, I might look into foiling now.

Still unclear to me what is powering this? I don’t think you explained that….??

Great. However, can you explain the different boards please? A few are very thin and some are very thick, are the called different things, what are they different uses and prices? Are the "fat ones" inflatable?
