Funny thing, my brother did that to me when we grew up. He's 7 years older than me, and it was when I wanted to play Super Mario Bros with him. It took me 2 years(it started when I was like 6 months old) for me to realize this, after I tried to get something to drink from the kitchen from our mom. When I came back, I saw the game was continuing after I thought I paused it. When I found out, I yelled "HEEEEEEYYYY!!! D!!! I WANNA PLAY!" He said that was the best two years of his life and he never enjoyed games again after that. Which isn't the truth. He stopped playing video games after I fuckin' annihilated him in NBA 2K5. I literally would play the Lakers, and only used Derek Fisher. I ended up blowing him out of the water by nearly 100 points because Fisher was a fucking 3-Point GOD in that game for some reason. That or I knew the exact timing. He said I made him hate the Lakers after that.
