Fun story about losing bots as a kid: me and my brother were so traumatized by the death of Optimus Prime when we watched the movie for the first time (aged 6 and 10 respectively) that we took his Optimus model and buried it in the garden. It took a few days for our parents to notice it was gone, and it has never actually been found. So now there's a random original first run Hasbro Optimus Prime somewhere under a flower bed, waiting to confuse future archaeologists....

'The Muppet Christmas Carol' is the single best adaptation of any of Dickens' work. Not my words, the words of my Victorian Literature professor at Uni. He wasn't wrong then and he's still right now. Apart from that I'd say 'Tokyo Godfathers', 'It's a Wonderful Life', and 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' for me.

Goldbug is one of my faves due to the Marvel comics, was so happy to get a modern figure of him. Still have my G1 toy of him as well! I still hope some enterprising 3rd party does some nice MP scale Throttlebots including the golden boy himself. I appreciate the engineering and aesthetic that goes into MP figures but I agree they're just too damn complicated to be fun to play with. They make incredible display pieces though. Fave Christmas film: Muppet Christmas Carol, but I also unironically love the original Miracle on 34th Street.

As for your Christmas film question: "Muppets Christmas Carol" is probably my favourite Christmas movie, too. When it comes to holiday specials, though, NOTHING beats "Bernard and the Genie," and I'm sad that it doesn't get more exposure. But then there's "Love, Actually," and we had so many people telling us we'd love it, because I'm English and my wife's American. Their skulls now decorate our garden path.

Favourite Christmas Movie - Arthur Christmas. Gijinka is the term when you turn something into an Anime Waifu. That guy in the mask reminds me of Grifter. APC Toys - I have Night Countess and their Angel Engine, been so busy that they are still in their boxes. I think that Arachnia is from one of the quad-packs, based on her toy deco.
