0:34 - I love elephants, but from a safe distance. If you ever come across an elephant while driving, and they start to charge you like this one, you better have your reverse game in order. Lucky for us this driver can drive in reverse and hold a camera at the same time
1:33 - Depending on the kind of person you are, this Giant African Millipede will either fascinate you as an example of nature’s biodiversity, or live forever in your nightmares. Me, it’s nightmare fuel all the way.
2:31 - A motorist driving along this Highway in Canada was able to capture this rare animal encounter. Not one, but two albino moose crossing the road. It’s super rare to see one example, but two…That’s almost unheard of.
3:33 - Here’s a cautionary tale. Bison, although they look slow and calm, can be very, very dangerous if you get too close. This group of tourists get a little too close for comfort and get a full look at why you should keep your distance.
4:39 - Giant squid are notoriously reclusive and very difficult to capture on film, even more rare to get footage of one that’s still alive. This diver was able to capture this magnificent creature on camera to bring us this very rare sight of a giant squid swimming in the ocean.
5:34 - Here’s another rare sight, an all white, albino deer captured on camera. This genetic mutation occurs in only about 1 in 20,000 cases. In some Native American cultures, seeing a white deer was taken as a message from the spirit world.
6:28 - This massive unit is a Coconut Crab, and it doesn’t live in the sea. In fact, it’s the largest land-based crustacean in the world. This example comes to us from an island off the coast of Zanzibar. If you ever see one, stay back, they have very strong claws.
7:15 - Possums get a bad rap sometimes because they’re not the cuddliest of creatures, but they actually play a vital role in our ecosystem. A single possum can eat up to 5000 ticks a season helping to keep tick-borne illnesses at bay. Here we see one doing what they’re famous for,
playing dead.
8:21 - This beast is a Burgundy Goliath Birdeater Tarantula, and it’s massive. They can be found in South America, and will hiss when threatened. What would you do if you came upon this hairy
arachnid, and it hissed at you?
9:38 - Imagine being out for a walk in the park and seeing a kitten, cute right? But what if that kitten was a bobcat kitten? Pretty cool, am I right?
10:45 - A hunter out for the day stumbled upon a rare find…That’s not a dog, but a coyote pup separated from the pack. Lucky for us, we get a close look at this wild creature before being sent off to return to Momma
11:45 - These boaters out on the water came across a sloth out for a swim. Knowing that Sloths aren’t known for being too quick, they decided to offer this plodding mammal a ride back to shore. I’m sure they just shaved hours off this sloth’s swim time.
11:54 - Junior the seal lives off the coast of Namibia, and is a total ham when it comes to performing for tourists. This handsome boy doesn’t hesitate to jump on to this boat to perform a few tricks in exchange for some fish. I just love that smiling face.
13:55 - Meet Theia. Theia is a famous female coyote that lives at River Legacy Park in Texas. Theia has become unnaturally unafraid of humans and will come right up to them making her a well-known feature at the park.
15:14 - In this next one we see a Momma bear and her cub out exploring. This curious cub comes over to investigate our cameraman. Then something really cool happens. I won’t spoil it for you. Just watch.

The animal on the thumbnail and 1:55 is a Maned Wolf and they are neither wolves nor foxes, but a species of their own. They're pretty rare and can be found in South America. They have a cool howl-bark.

Fun fact: Rhinos in captivity are typically less aggressive than wild rhinos. This is because rhinos have incredibly poor eyesight, and so in the wild where most things are either rivals or predators, it's safest to adopt a "charge first, ask questions once it's dead" policy. In captivity, where they lack predators, rhinos are more docile and more easily interacted with. They also enjoy belly rubs, believe it or not, which is a thing we know because we are bound and determined to treat every animal like a dog.

Not so fun fact, that polar wasn't after the canoe but rather it's owner. Polar bears are one of the only animals that see humans as a source of food and will actively track and hunt them for MILES. Hunting behaviour is not the same as aggression, a meal the size of a person is not worth risking death or injury over. If you shoot near a bear it will usually fuck off, if you shoot at a bear it will almost definitely run away rather than risk more injury and pain. The only reason it would stay and fight is if it had no choice or if it had something to protect like a cub.

Moose with leucism exist pretty often (maybe not if u look at the procent) Also leucism is given to the babys (like seen in the video) if I remember right. Leucism is most often a dominant gene, so it would be more unusual if the baby would have been brown while the mother is white :)

Fun fact: Maned Wolves (the thing that looks like a fox on stilts) has a nearly unique form of movement. You probably picked up on it subconsciously and it made the animal seem really off to you. It's how it walks. Most 4 legged animals will walk by moving one front leg then the back leg on the opposite side forward (example:Front right, back left). A Maned Wolf walks by moving first a front leg then the back leg on the same side (Example:Front left, back left). Pretty much no other animal does this and it can make them seem really alien even if you don't consciously notice the walking pattern.

Counter "fun" fact: opossums don't play dead as some form of survival strategy (what kind of strategy would that be anyways?) They are actually just super anxious and have paralysing anxiety attacks whenever they are frightened. So, yeah. Not so cute anymore, is it lol
@DeathlordSlavik
@DeathlordSlavik 2 жыл бұрын
It is a survival strategy as many predators wont eat something they themselves didn't kill something that is amplified by the fact opossums emit an awful odor when playing dead that makes them smell like they have been dead a long time. Also playing dead isn't limited to opossums hog nose snakes play dead as will some types of rabbit and mice, point is if you bothered to actually do any research you would see that playing dead is something that several types of animal do and something that does work.

Pretty calm anaconda. Doesn't complain about being handled. It looks well-padded/muscled, so I don't think it's ill. Wonder if it's tame.

Sloths are actually really speedy in water and are very good at keeping their breath under. Does not change the fact they most likely saved him since Sloth off a tree is a treat for local predators.

they weren't albinos they just have a genetic rarity that makes their fur/skin extremely light. you can tell because albinos have red eyes while they have their normal black eyes

This is the first time in my life I've seen a clip on KZbin and JUMPED because I know the exact spot and the exact animal. I am 99% sure that albino buck is the same one that lived to a ripe old age in Franklin, TN, specifically the Grassland area, and the stream he's walking in front of is the feeder creek that runs through a neighborhood called River Rest right into the Big Harpeth River. I could definitely be wrong, but if so the resemblance is uncanny. (before yall say anything, the brown spot near his anklers is from scent glands. He's not piebald, he's in rut)
