I'm impressed the "Ripple Effect" didn't get damaged from hitting the rocks and made it all the way inland in one piece. The lucky woman's injury was just a laceration to the leg.

I find it interesting that the descprition says that Damon ignores Kidd's direction but actually ignored Severide's direction as well. Mainly becuase Severide was the first to start giving our orders for how the rescue was going to happen.

I was hoping that was the case too. It would have been a good dynamic of the half brothers working at the firehouse together storyline within the show, since throughout the years it has been love storyline with someone in the same firehouse by current and past characters. So, having a sibling dynamic within the same firehouse would have been a nice change of pace and a change of formula in the writing from the show. Also, as another person wrote in the comments, Damon is like Street from S.W.A.T. and the character of Street is beloved from fans of S.W.A.T. So the writers screwed up the storyline getting rid of Damon when his character could have bridge a different dynamic relationship within the firehouse and when fans can see Damon's character is like another character from another show that fans like is also a mistake that the writers did to get rid of Damon's character from the firehouse.

@@gailfirenze3606 hi you know I was hoping Damon could have stayed longer ,but on better terms,not him disobeying Stella and causing.problems for her and Kelly., and when he told Kelly that he was just like Benny he really made me mad, been to me Kelly is not like Benny at all, Kelly is sweet Kind and caring,and loving. But Damon could work out of another firehouse.

@@carolynelston5936 I’m glad he’s gone hopefully he won’t come back to cause issues. He couldn’t have said a more hurtful thing then to tell Kelly is he is Benny. He is nothing like Benny and in this week’s episode Kelly has trouble with Damon’s exit. But it’s probably because he feared becoming Benny and now his half brother told him he was. But we know Damon is more like Benny than Kelly could ever be. First chance he got he lied, tried to throw Stella under the bus and then didn’t appreciate anything Kelly had done for him, then insulted him with the Benny comment. Benny always looked out for number one and didn’t care about anyone else’s feelings. Kelly lied by omission to the chief and didn’t disclose their relationship, lied by omission to Stella that he knew Damon heard her command and could have put his career and marriage in jeopardy. Kelly will probably wonder if he is becoming Benny after all Stella commented as much to him about arson. But she knows that Kelly never really could become Benny because he is a caring guy, something Benny could never be. Thank goodness Cruz spoke to Kelly to get him to think about how his relationship with Damon could get him to do things he would otherwise never do. Glad Stella understood and forgave him. Can’t wait to see Kylie back to replace Damon at least this week and maybe she will join 51 for good.

Yeah well he needs to do a better job listening to and following orders accident and fire scenes are not a playground or your own land you can freelance on you make one mistake ignoring or disobeying orders you put yourself your crew members and the victims in even more danger i don’t care that he and Severide are brothers you don’t ignore your commanding officer because your family

Honestly I'm not all that disappointed that Damon ignored CRY BABY 👶 😢 stella because honestly I'm not a fan of miss stella anymore especially when she always thinks she should always have her way all the time & the h**l With what Kelly wants or needs! But with that being said Damon still shouldn't have ignored his superiors that's hire up the chain. Especially if the victim or any other team member could have been injured or worse because of Damon's mistake ! 😮
