I don't know where to start with this.
Up till 2 weeks ago I wasn't planning on vidding Delena anytime soon, mostly because of lack of inspiration. You know it's hard to find some when you haven't had a new scene in 9 freaking months, however, I made a new playlist after The Royals ended and this song went in it right away. I admit it didn't immediately click but eventually it did, you know how it happens...one day while listening to it all i could think about were Damon and Elena and I knew I had to do something. It was hard, I even thought of abandoning the project all together more times than once, it took me days and yes, it was very challenging on an emotional level.
I'm not watching season 7 but I do keep up with the Damon scenes because he is my baby and I live in constant fear that the writers could ruin his character development somehow, so far no damage has been done but seeing him suffer like this (I'm referring to 7x10/7x11) is simply unnecessary after seven years. They need to bring Elena back to him and give them their rightful happy ending and it'll better be epic because I won't settle for anything less.
I swear I didn't plan the whole "we go up in flames" part (spoiler if you haven't watched 7x11). It's tragic as much as it's beautiful.

MY DELENA SUPERHERO IS BACK! AND SHE CAME WITH A NEW CAPE!!!! ele, sweetie, you're remarkable in every single way, but especially extraordinary when it comes to editing these two. I cannot begin to describe how magnificently editied this was and it was beyond moving too. you know that I don't watch the current season (but I read recaps, so I sort of know what's going on), because the show went completely south when Nina left. I know they had zero interest in her departure, but they could've made a shortened 7th season and end the show then. this way the fans are suffering, the fans they've been trying to do right by since the series started. and I'm not just talking about the delena fans. I don't see any steroline/bamon/defan/...-fans cheering either about the recent developments. and if they think that making Damon suffer will be appreciated by the fans, they really don't know them at all. we have watched Damon suffer since the pilot - he is always the victim that gets treated like the villain and I'm just so tired of that. to be reminded of that is just cruel, because he evolved so much during his relationship with Elena and became such a different kind of person, a person that doesn't always make the right choice, but is trying to do right by the people and the town he cares about. and to put him through that kind of personal hell and take the one thing from him that kept him sane just cuts back on years of character development and it takes away the Damon that we all came to love. so, the point of this long, embarrasing and aimless rant is that your videos bring the Damon to life that I love and have so fond memories of. the one that knows no boundaries when it comes to the woman he loves. and that Elena that saw the fear and loneliness behind the sarcastic, selfish vampire. and I want to thank you for that

Oh have I missed your DE videos. I understand about not having inspiration. I don't watch season 7 either by I do keep up with Damon and since 7x10 and 7x11 was mostly about him I watched it and omg I wish I hadn't seeing him suffer like that was so unbearable 7x11 made it worse. Now he thinks he killed Elena.My poor babies. This is why he needs her. He's completely lost without her.
