I used to drink 2 litres a night in the weekend 10 years before the pandemic... When i went to the dentist after covid i was a wreck, what i had to pay in denmark. 1200 aussie bucks. For 3 fillings & a surgical wisdom tooth removal. Saved 55% & stayed with my german dentist. In hindsight i should not have done those nights. This movie knocked some sense into me...

How could people give this informative documentary a thumbs down, unless of course you work for the sugar industry or toxic softdrink companies. Softdrink is the cigarettes of 2000`s

I gave up sugar over 5 years ago when I was diagnosed with Diabetes, it got rid of my diabetes and all round my health went way better, it is impossible to give up sugar as it is in almost everything that you eat or drink nearly, you have to start off with eating as little as possible to get rid of Diabetes, if you can get that far then you can eat more normally after that but you wont as things taste so much different once you give up sugar and sweet things dont taste so good as before, a good way to look at it is, if I was eating say 100 Kg of sugar a year and it didn't quite kill me then 25 Kgs a year wont hurt me, sugar is way more addictive than we all realise!!!!!!!!! BEST OF LUCK GIVING IT UP, IT ISNT EASY!!!!!!!

It only took me weeks on a low carb diet to come to hate sweet things, even certain fruit is too sweet for me. Cherries and berries are low sugar fruits and I stick to them. I don't buy packaged or convenience foods.

I live in the United States and we have that huge problem here. Giving up sugar means giving up almost all breads as well. I now buy our bread from the local bakery in town. Go TEAM!😊♥️😊

Balance is an essential element of life. I knew a man who on hearing about the dangers of too much salt went on a salt free diet. Eventually he collapsed. The doctor told him his blood was so thin his heart struggled to pump it. Humans tend to go from one extreme to the other. Sugar is ok. Too much is bad. Our blood has blood sugar. It's essential to a healthy life. A balanced diet contains a little salt and sugar. Cheers Gray Australia

The body turns carbs into sugar, so no need for sugar. Balanced diet of healthy protein and limited carbs.

@@ange3489 I think a majority of people are being fooled by so-called healthy products though. Things labelled 'low fat' but still have lots of sugar in them. But yes. there's always those people who don't care till it's too late.

We need to become cognisant of the health effects of our food choices. Also its true that junk food doesnt solve your life problems or make them any better.

@@juanitarichards1074 actually that isn't true, carbohydrates in plentiful quantities is what allowed our brains to develop into what they are today.

Kia Ora from Oz 😁 Amazing how much tastier foods are without sugar. Unfortunately sugar and salt are deliberately added by industry in what's called the 'bliss point' to enhance cravings. Sadly type 2 diabetes in the 1970s was actually extremely rare and doctors were unlikely to come across it in their entire careers .. compare that to now! Anyway Kia kaha to the lovely maori people 🙄

I was shocked to find in NZ that they are adding sugar to peanut butter. I bought a new brand one day and took it home to try it and found it was very sweet. It was horrible. I took it back to the supermarket. Then lots of people came forward to object to sugar added to their favorite brands of peanut butter. Now many jars are labeled "sugar free". I buy an organic brand now They are so sneaky how they sneak sugar into everything. But I also buy a brand of milk that has the lowest amount of sugar - a lot less than all other brands. I just don't like sweet things, they taste toxic to me and make me feel sick.

I haven't consumed candy in months and the one thing I really hate eating is Cornflakes which has added sugar. I don't know which breakfast cereal has no sugar and is rich in iron and zinc and all this nutrients. Still, I feel great but I really want to be good at this so I can be fully prepared for work.

Well, for once added sugar should be forbidden by law. If people do want to add it in their food they should do it themselves - and realise what they eat in doing so. A soft drink is just as good with innocuous sweetener like stevia.

Trust me, 3 weeks on the South Beach diet killed my sugar cravings forever. I can't bear the taste of it now, or any sweet things. I buy cherries and berries, which have the lowest natural sugars of all fruits. I eve buy a milk brand that has far less sugar than all the others. I don't eat cereal or any packaged foods. Just meat, veges, salads, and some dairy products that have no sugar. Most breads are loaded with sugar so I don't eat that either. I have cooked breakfasts based around eggs. And instead of sugar laden salad dressings I buy Masterfoods tartare sauce that contains no sugar at all yet tastes a bit sweet.
