I find it sad listening to Damon describing the significance of these lovely items in the context of their being auctioned off. I really struggle to understand why this sale was necessary.

Hi, perhaps it's because the items were left to Damon's sisters because they need some cash more than Damon does, hence the auction?

If only Schumacher hadn't Deliberately run Damon off the road, he would have another F1 Championship. Alas, his father didn't have any insurance on his private plane when it crashed in fog whilst landing at his local aerodrome. Some members of the Arrows Formula One team died in the crash, and the resulting compensation meant that Damon's mother had to sell most of their possessions, including their house. Damon achieved what he did in his life after such a tragedy. I wonder what happened to the Indy 500 trophy?
