Damontae: "If you get downed, you're bad" Also Damontae: playing the game in grayscale
@unclegeldgeil2 жыл бұрын
Knowing Damontaekxng for almost 3 years by now he sadly never changed. He always was filled with this lying, trying to look good/legit thing while cheating behind everyones back. Doesn't matter if it's a challenge run, a speedrun or trashtalking behind someones back. He did at some point apologize for his cheating/bad behavior last month but that's only because I talked to him for 1 or 2 hours straight before this apology, trying to get some sense into him. That apology was nothing more than a short steam post, so only his friends saw it, it wasn't a public YT Video or on stream or anything, but hey at least a step in the right direction. I figured he might learn a bit, I was hoping with this apology he would maybe slowly become at least a bit better but after seeing his recent actions, that is not the case. I geniunely feel bad for anyone who actually watches him and believes he is legit. Your Video here definitly will help those people to some extend, but some will always be blind and follow him no matter what. I am more less surprised about the fact that Damon is still going, streaming hours upon hours while basicly being known as a cheater and a bad person in general for so long now. At the same time I also feel really bad for him, seeing that he has actual issues (no offense here) and probably had a really rough time in the past. But that ain't a reason to be a cheater online. But alright, your Video was well put together, I can tell you put lots of effort into it. I didn't even know how much he cheated on his speedruns until now, I just knew a tiny bit from what I heard from you and yoshino weeks ago. I hope many people will see it and maybe Damon will change for once in his life and actually apologize but most likely not.

1:38 Damontae's runs have been denied for having that overlay. 5:58 That's like 2015 Dodge perk deck. 7:38 considering that Anarchist isn't god-tier it's actually a challenge to play DS with it. Either that or I'm not god-like at the game. 🤔 8:01 I remember ButteredTV telling me he redeemed a Choose Heist redemption and Damontae straight up denied it. 17:47 and 20:13 Regarding storyline speedruns,Damontae, RoseYoshino, and I had a discussion one day on his twitch stream about what storyline should constitute. In short, he said starting from the very beginning of storyline (level 0) and some content after the official rules should be required. He also mentioned something about people not doing certain categories because they're unpopular. Then I wrote in chat "storyline is already not popular, so how would making it more tedious/longer make it more accessible?" to which I never received a reply, either verbal or text. 15:27 TOPSHOT!!! Hi!!!!!!!!!! 16:10 It's easy to change mod names. I do it because if I don't then all mods besides Speedrunning would extend across the entire screen. BUT you do see the commas separating the mods. 16:27 I remember when one of the mods showed this and explained how easy it is to miss the period after Speedrunning. Obviously Damontae trying to hide his cheats. 18:57 DON'T YOU TALK SH!T ABOUT ROSEYOSHINO! Rose was randomly added as a moderator long after the more prominent mods (no offense to Rose) were actively involved in the Payday 2 speedrunning community. Rose was genuinely surprised at becoming moderator. 32:49 This whole section proves he's the Anti_ of Payday 2 speedrunning. 56:38 This rant reminds me of The Caine Mutiny and LCDR Queeg when he was court-martialed. 1:05:24 that was a good pun! This is my experience with Damon (It's a copie from Uncle's second video): Since I'm French and mostly on the french side of the Payday community, I never learn about the drama that happened before he himself talk about it in PMs. When he came back to me, asking if I was still a friend of him, I said "Yeah, I don't have a personal grudge against you so we good". Since I don't usually play DS, I never played with him when he is on stream and I wasn't really there when he was streaming (Mostly doing twitch thing on my side). A friend came out to me and gave both the first part and this video. Since then, I never wanted to watch those videos just to not being into the drama and being neutral. But the more informations I got from my friends, the more I got this feeling of disgust and discomfort. I'm mixed with deep disgust and pure anger while watching both those videos (Even if it's 1 year old). I thought this ego thing was just purely childish but it gone wayyyyyyy too far than that and I just want to puke now. I gave my respect and my support to somebody who not only brag about fbi files (which you have to take it WITH A PINT OF SALT), his hours but also have used Custom Dodge for his videos It quite reminds me of this one french guy who made stealth tutoriel with SA... A while back, way before that happened, he helped me getting the DSOD Mask. I don't understand how this situation occurs...

That was a worth 1h of my time. I played with him once and it felt like I was playing with a new player. All these videos he made about “Best build made by Damon” or “How to [insert deck name] by a 10k hour player” yet looking at the builds, it looks like he was just new at the game. Even from watching his gameplay, it already looks like it cheated. It’s just so wrong that he just proves his skills with his “10k hours” which doesn’t even work that way and also provide misinformation to the community like saying that these builds are the “best”.

Because of his builds I actually managed to make my personal "meta" build for sniper and anarchist AR, with a few changes, I'm also looking forward for more builds for other perk decks and he can provide with that, even though he trashtalks a lot of unnecessary things, the actual creation of his is is something good I can at least say about him, but don't fully trust.

Taking the Car Shop RNG example, it reminded me of the Dream Minecraft cheating drama. Another KZbinr by the name of DarkViperAU made a response video about it talking about how it is more likely for a unicorn to appear outside your house than the likelihood of what happened in Dream’s speed run. Of course great exaggeration, but it demonstrates his point. This is basically that. The chances for the bank manager to appear in the same spot on three (technically four) runs *and* have the same PC is an astronomically low chance. Don’t know if these runs were done on the same run as the open vault on Go Bank, but if it is, we as humans cannot even begin to understand how rare that truly is. It wouldn’t be 1/1000, 1/1000000, probably in the billions, and for all intents and purposes, impossible. It wouldn’t be so bad if he actually came clean from the get-go and said “this is an rng modified run”, but no. He claims it as real, and it’s just gross honestly, like at least have some dignity. Edit: Literally unpaused the video and got it confirmed it was all in the same run, and also the Alaskan deal rng, and I’m guessing every heist is the same too. There is no way, just none.

I've always said, I have no problem with people using mods and even cheats in their own private games. We all just want to have fun, and as long as you don't ruin other people's fun, it's whatever. But cheating while pretending you're playing legit is definitely crossing a line. The worst of it is, you don't even have to be good at Payday 2 to get views, there's plenty of PD2 content on KZbin where people play the game horribly, but it gets clicks for comedy purposes.
