Damu, please put these up on bandcamp, I would pay for them in a heart beat. Some of the sickest beats Ive heard from you.

u inspired me more in a sense, i never thought younger people than me will ever grasp the true school style. its one thing to grab and record and sample, but finding that sample having ears for certain sounds is a totally individualized talent thing. much blessings to u

Damn Damu you're VERY critical of your stuff, saying how you wouldn't use that second beat - you even sound disgusted with it!! lol. You're a true artist man. Never complacent or settling when you know you got more.. just know all the beats are HOTNESS! lol. Peace......

sample from original breaks (to get the grittiness), double up on your kicks and snares (meaning, set ur mpc or whatever you use to trigger 2 different kicks and snares at the same time. 2 drums hitting at the same time gives it an extra bang), also, look for folders and packs of sp1200 drums (you can find them online). sp1200 drums already sound raw). i dunno...i hope that helped some.

I think the first beat he played had a sample from a slum village song... i think it was "fall in love" remix or something produced by jay dee.. second joint had a familiar sounding sample too.. and no im not calling him out on anyything... damu freaks these records well!

well ask yaself this,nowdays alot of violence in hiphop (because of hiphop) if everyone listend to this type of hiphop there will be more peace,why wanne ceep that a secret?;)
@MuzikJunky15 жыл бұрын
They're quantized to a 1/16th triplet, most likely, because a heavy 1/16th swing isn't a tight enough swing. Peace.
@lX-NDR15 жыл бұрын
you can see this is real hiphop it gets so little vieuws,and a kid with wack fl or reason beats gets 10000 plays ,half claim to be real hiphop but aint support it!!so they aint real hiphop this is that real shit

1st lot a violence cause of hiphop is bullshit. 2nd there wont be more peace if more people listend to this. and third you cant push something that people dont wanna hear or see. Its gotta come naturally. cant force it. now lets enjoy the music.
@Stoney-Jacksman15 жыл бұрын
does is it have to have 10000 plays.. nah man..Things are kept best when its not for the mass appeal.
