What could possibly give you the impression that there is an intent behind the universe? Very close to 100% of it seems to be deadly to life of any kind (and is certainly unreachable by our standards)… if the universe was intended for anything, it was probably intended for black holes to exist (I think that was a joke by Stephen Hawking if I’m not mistaken). Also, what would a “coincidental” universe look like to you by comparison? If you’re going to assume that this universe is not a coincidence, surely you have some point of reference (or at least a concept of one).

I am not a theist, but there is one thing, one problem that I refuse to throw out of the windows unsolved, the infinite time regression, there are two possibilities, one, the universe extends infinitely on the past, two, the universe does not exist infinitely on the past, if it's the first one that implicates that there are events infinitely on the past, therefore that means essentially that the universe had to cover in infinite time interval in order to be at our current state, if it's the second, it would mean that the axis of time have an initial discontinuity which represents the moment of it's creation according to our reference frame, as the first one seems to be problematic this implies that there exist a atemporal entity responsible for the origin, now, I'm not saying that this is thing is a god, it could simply be some weird new kind of phycisal structure or object which exists ouside of time

To my atheist friends, I went through the same process that this man went through. Became convinced of scientific materialism. Then randomly I began to contemplate the amazing coincidence that evolution produced two main tree's of life (flora & fauna). I tried searching out any counter/alternative arguments to evolution, but sadly the algorithm refused to show me anything to the contrary. By God's grace, I came across Stephen Meyer's debates on youtube years later. Watched the debates expecting the materialists to dominate. To my surprise, the atheists were dismissive, resorted to straw man and ad hominem arguments, as well as other tactics. They had no answers. They resort to the same dogma they accuse theists of. Watch the debates with Meyer and ask yourself if theism isn't at least a rational position. Theism, regardless if you want to believe it or not, has a lot of rational points scientifically and logically.

Am an atheist too but this thought came to my mind while studying about some things that what if God is a being in higher dimension…completely different form beyond our imagination…can have free will while knowing the future (by travelling into parallel universes of different possibilities) can know our future by knowing all possibilities of whatever choices we make… and we can’t comprehend him completely just like a 2 dimension creature won’t be able to us because of lacking a spatial dimension…a creature or a person (for example sakes) in two dimensional world even if is hidden in his room will be visible to us all the time…because he doesn’t know and can’t imagine that there can be something or someone above…for him “above” simply does not exists…even if we travel in their world.., they would be able to experience us but not completely understand… now imagine somehow we take a two dimensional creature and show him outside two dimensions…let’s just say we took him for a flight above…now he would have an experience that he won’t be able to explain ever in his world…not completely Atleast…he may say i was floating…or i was in the air or something…but where was he ., he won’t be able to tell that…because they have nothing to describe ‘above’ . No one would know where to look how to look cause they can’t just turn their heads up like us… all they would know is their is something called ‘above’ and some will believe some will not… now what if the personal experiences are same things with some people…most of them are Ofcourse brain imagining things… but what if some of them actually are real experiences which those holy book writers tried to write but didn’t know exactly what to tell and how to… for example string theorist believe there are 10 dimensions ( or 11 according to the M theory) so according to them in last dimension there are just string like particles or wave like object some in loops some open and they keep vibrating…that’s what creates universe…so everything around us according to quantum world is just vibrations (wave-particle duality)….now bible tells us God is ‘word’ through which all things began…now what is ‘word’ exactly..? Sound…and what is sound…? Just vibrations… So what if the holy books/scriptures that we read today are heavily altered and changed… it was already not perfect because original writer wrote in parables in order to target larger audience…what if all those dead sea scrolls etc were also based on something much older then that…like Islam came out of christianity, christianity came from judaism… all three are abrahamic religions…but their books are matched by the previous one… like Quran matches with Bible cause it came later…alternations and fabrications are very old part of human nature…Whatever story you begin with…once it reaches enough audience, alternate versions of it will start to appear… So still am stuck at what if God is a being in some other higher dimension…i wrote too much cause am high…I don’t even know how much of it is correct and grammer mistakes and all…i just began and i forgot to stop so thank you to all who made it to the end 😅😅

There are many types of prayers but the most important one is the prayer for receiving God's Love, the substance that is of God and when it enters our soul, it starts to transform us into a more loving, caring, joyful and better people by removing the causes of sin from us and clearing away any kind of suffering we have. All prayers are accomplished by us having a sincere desire, a passionate longing that is directed towards God, for whatever the thing we are praying for. God's response is based on whether the prayer is sincere and in harmony with love. If those two conditions are met ,God always responds to those kind of prayers, just not always in the way we want or imagine. God is already doing everything that is in Her power to help and assist us in life but there are certain laws that He cannot break(free will) so He always respects our free will choices. When we pray, we demonstrate a desire for a personal relationship with God and He can then do extra steps to help us because we are now using our will in a direction where we want to have contact with Him. EDIT: For clarification, I do not believe that religions have a correct depiciton of God as there are many errors, illogical and unloving teachings in them.
