Dan Campbell showed some incredible maturity as a coach and leader with this press conference. He acknowledged the mistakes that were made in the game but also insisted that there were things outside of their control AND within that lead to how the game progressed. The Lions didn't play badly, the Texans BALLED OUT and only lost by a field goal. This game could have gone either way at any time and we're lucky to have Bates to save the day. "It wasn't our day and we still won" is gonna be one of those quotes that shows up in montages later on

HOW CAN YOU NOT BE ROMANTIC ABOUT THE DETROIT LIONS?!?! And he’s so right about those INT’s really just 1 was a bad throw. 2 were unlucky d line men batting balls up for tip drills and one was a hail marry chuck at the end of the first half as well. Not a game to beat up on Goff for at all!

Goff did have a pretty bad game by his standards even if the INT numbers look higher than they really were. But he also just had the best six game run in NFL history for a QB. Everyone can have a bad night and championship teams have enough depth to find a different way to win. Goff will be better next week and his one off night won't impact the standings. Great news for the Lions.

I’m not gon lie…😔 I turned the game off at the end of the first half. I couldn’t watch it. I laid down, flipped through social media, and what do I see, the lions have tied the game. I couldn’t believe it. I immediately ran to the living room and turned on the game in excitement, to witness one of the greatest comebacks in Lions history! JB kicks the ball and I’m pretty sure all of us held our breath, to see that ball BEARLY, slip through the field goal post. I yelled so loud. I live in Texas but born in raised in Detroit, MI and I’m proud to say I’m this is my team and the city of Detroit deserves this! LFG LIONS!!!!

My son went to the game he was frustrated getting heckled a lot .I told him to sit back and at the end our Lions will be victorious.. Down 23 to 7 at half I knew we would make adjustments and our D would do what they do...The adversity today just made us that much better ..This is how Champions are made. So proud I believe and can't wait to finish what we started..Go Lions

For Jared Geoff to throw 5 interceptions including all the wobbly off target throws combined with a late start running game and still come away with a W speaks volumes about the team on the otherside of the ball. I have that feeling the offense will redeem themselves over the next few weeks...Winning these road games are huge...playoffs already insight.

Dan Campbell is the best mix of old school and new school. You can’t question his toughness but he NEVER speaks poorly about anyone on his team. How many coaches would speak like that about Goff after a 5-interception game?

I've seen Detroit go from losing close games to lesser teams, to winning those close games, to finally stealing games against good teams. It's amazing how far we've come in 4 years. I've watched bates in the ufl kick those record setters at ford's field for my panthers and knew he wouldn't in that league for long. So glad the lions got him! After Hanson and prater, we really needed a kicker and now we finally found a guy who be a lion for a long time and be one of our greats.

Let's be honest: Coach campbell built us a team that we can be proud of. Every player on the team is lion now. We did not have a good day and some plays really hurt us. But we kept going on them texans knee cap going back up till we won the game.

Dan said exactly what I was thinking regarding the 5 interceptions. May be 1 or 2 of those could blame on the QB or may be the play calling, or the team but the rest: 2 of them, the ball was tipped in the air by the DO and 1 hail mary... I mean c'mon... that's the result of playing under alot of pressure. But no one seems to be talking about, that lions defense. They're legit.

Rather than tell the truth "Man we got our ass kicked today. I appreciate the Texans giving us this game. I really do appreciate. We suck! Bad! And it showed today. Is Bry,ce Young available? Because, I really don't see how we're going to be next level with the elementary school errors being made with what we currently have. I mean, we're mid season and this is the pro's.
