Living in the pacific. 2007 world cup, at age 10 i went with my grandpa to watch the world cup in another fellas home...(village life). Fiji upset wales...most of the village men were cheering for nz...influenced by them i do cheered for nz but wen nz lost most of the men were shattered ...they turned to aus and S.A. (northern hemisphere vs southern). I was fascinated by that english team(eng) tat i rooted for them...in silence lest the old folks learn of my choice an mock me...influenced by England's no. 14 winger(black guy) .no 13 matthew date(spelling prob) no.10 wilkinson and their forward pack...i remember how the aussie team came out overconfident walking to the ground instead of jogging...damn Wilkinsons performance was so spectacular (like his teammates) it was not just a gme to him but it was like he was carrying his country on his shoulder...drop goals after drop goal ...after tat world cup he was labelled one of my best player...over the years that followed watching tri nation and later the four nation...dc was sth else...they were really good...i think dc no.1 wilkinson.2 ....but the fact is every decade and generation good players arise remember my dad( an aussie fan) praising names of gregan ...tim horan stephen larkam ..campesse...n some nz players such as cullen lomu etc in which i didnt get to watch bcos of the age gap...but yep instilled in me are the generation of mccaw...brad thorn ...ali Williams..nonu and the most current squad...barett is a really good fly half imo...he has a more running gme and diff from dc and wilkinson...cruden...donald ...slade...each hve their own style of play and bring sth special wen they play...in the current world i think wilkinson and carters points on kicking is a record hard to beat bcos most capt now would rather score then take the 3 points....*i admire mccaw where almost every decision he gets he choose the post for carter...which aided in carters popularity of kicking and nz gaining easy points. I remeber morne steyn hardly given the tee compared to carter...and under reads captaincy where nz take the risk of having lineout to score rather than the easy 3 points.
