I think its a given why Okarun is the way that he is with Momo. They both got that 'we are teens so we get in our feeling alot.' But that is the one thing I respect Dandadan for, if they have a misunderstanding. A fight whatever- that shit is wrapped up and cleared up in that ep. None of this 'she/he misunderstood lets not talk about the problem for 4 ep and cause a bunch of problems.' Nah they link up right after when shits cooled down and talk. I'd take that over anything other shows do. About the granny and other spirit thing and why Sekio couldnt go in. It basically as you said Okarun was a normal kid going into a haunted area. I can't remember who I heard this from, but I remember someone saying "If you can make a viewer laugh, you can make them feel anything." That really does apply with Dandadan. It makes you laugh at the absurd jokes and the over-the-top ways that characters get flung around like rag dolls (like, DAMN Momo, you really tried putting Aira's friends in the hospital at 27:26), but then smacks you in the face with some of the harshest tragedies in any shonen manga/anime. And believe me, there's so much of both to come.

I'm late to this but I recently binged watched Don and just wanted to add some IRL perspective to some of the things you mentioned. As to why Okarun didn't feel anything when he went to Turbo Granny's tunnel, he's one of those people that like he said he didn't believe in ghosts so he's not attuned to that kind of stuff. It's creepy but he's not going to feel the pressure the same way Seiko or Momo would have because of them being mediums and psychics. The reason Aira was able to see her as a little girl is because kids are not as blocked off from the spirit world as adults in teenagers tend to be so they can see spirits. And obviously if you've watched the anime you know why they are essentially connected. People that consider themselves more attuned to the spirit world can feel things like pressure and temperature changes. And even though 100 km doesn't sound crazy or like a kick-ass name imagine about 60 mph down the road and you see a old lady running next to you going the same speed or just a tad bit faster past your car....thats terrifying

The English dub is FANTASTIC AJ Beckles is doing an amazing job as Ken Takakura. First time he transformed in episode 2 I thought it was a different voice actor! The rest of the cast is great too but AJ is the star of the show! The dub is just perfect to me so it's the only way I'm Watching Dandadan. Also the rap song Otonke by creepy nuts in the opening is amazing, there's an English version of it by Tundra on KZbin it's AMAZING. It keeps 99% of the Japanese lyrics meaning and it's on beat so definitely check it out!!!! Also if you have time, pick up the manga it's great and read from the beginning. That way you can see the few and subtle differences of the anime and the Manga!
