I know videos can be edited but Dan is one of the best teachers I've seen. The technical know-how and his own technique is off the charts but it comes together nicely due to his feel of what each pupil needs. Always positive--never negative

I've been following Jess on KZbin for a while now and her progression from high handicapper to single figures player has been astounding, her ability to take information and impart it into her swing is top class, I can see her getting down to scratch in a very short space of time, well done Jess.! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

This is sooo helpful. Am a true believer in Dan’s 3 release system, but had not understood how to approach ball in gnarly rough which is a common lie in my home course, NCR in Ohio.

The worst lie is the one I tell myself about how all the money I spent on golf last year was totally worth it.

These are so awsome and essentially priceless. I want to thank Dan and KZbin just as much! When I first heard of Dan and his 3 releases, it was difficult to find any in depth info on it without buying his book. Which I wasn't mad about because I understand business. But I think, Dan eventually realized that KZbin videos pay handsomely as well and now we get all of the in depth info for free! It's transforming folk's games all over the world now!

Dan is so easy to follow. Clear, concise information alongside physical set up then let the pupil’s imagination finish the technique off. Jess is so erudite & speaks well. She is obviously open to the instruction on offer but has her own knowledge of the 3 Release system. Great video. Well played Jess!

Three Releases book is one of the best golf purchases I have made and combined with the amazing online video content it has really improved my short game. We all spend hours at the driving range trying to hit those long drives and irons but in reality having a short game area like this would benefit so many golfers.

How does this same shot work from 30-80 yards? Is it the same set up?
@apaulmcdonough21702 ай бұрын
Just as this Video shows - first get the Setup and Technique correct, and then learn "How much Power" - Swing Speed is needed. From longer Distances - your 30-80 Yards - try LESS Loft. Gap Wedge (50°-52°) or Pitching Wedge (46°-48°) and pick a shorter Landing Target to allow for a longer (20 - 30 Feet) Rollout.

Great stuff - thanks! My horror chip is where the ball sits on top of the grass. I struggle to get enough club on it, especially where I need to get it in the air, eg in the short side situation. The club head goes between the ball and the ground, and the shot ends up way short. What's the answer there?

Are you using a 60 degree?

I go lower loft on those. Like a pw or a nine.

@@outlander234 No, a sand wedge..
@jandekker60082 ай бұрын
@@EJLdL Do you pick it off the top? Really hard shot, especially when there's not a lot of green between you and the hole.
@TengoLaSed2 ай бұрын
If it's sitting up on top of the grass, i always assume I have to release 1 bump and run it. Not sure what else to do! Not enough grass underneath for release 2 or 3.

Actually, I think he set it down to make it a challenging lie... I didn't see Dan 'prop' it up, but if he did, so what? It's a lesson on good technique and teaching all of us a little 'Golf IQ'! Thank You Dan Grieve and Jess Ratcliffe !
