This was great! I can feel Shawn’s eye twitch over Dan calling Yugioh MtG hahah Played Pokémon and still play magic but I own Yu-gi-oh, Digimon; etc cards from way back. They are in my collector books with a mismatch of stuff including Marvel-Mainly X-Men, DC, DBZ and random sports trading cards. I've never related more to someone than to Dan's entertainment prep for a flight. It's not about having the right cumulative hours of entertainment/distraction, it's about having the right balm for your patience and nerves so sometimes the 100 hour RPG you downloaded is useless but you could totally relisten to BtB's 6 part Vince McMahon series and play vampire survivors.

Hot damn. That brings back memories. I loooved the Yakisoba pan. There was a great mom and pop bakery near where I stayed that had out of this world bread and sandwiches. Though the combini snacks are top notch too, especially Family Mart. Also I remember having to buy an extra bag to get stuff back to the US. And even then I regretted not buying a giant Jojo statue and a few other larger things. Next time I probably would look into just shipping it back instead of paying bag fees. Speaking of which, I just got a shipment from one of those Mandarake stores the other day and another one is coming in next week from another one of their stores. Protip: Just gotta be careful on the size and weight of the box with different shipping methods.

The raid never happened. By the time it was a viable operation, retro stores in Japan caught on to the fact that a lot of other Americans were doing similar raids and increased prices during things like Tokyo Game Show. At least that's the explanation I remember him giving.
