And just the cherry on top for Dan Seals. Look at the guitar he's playing. Dan Seals is a left-handed guitarist playing a guitar strung for righties. He's playing upside-down. OMG!

RIP Dan. I spent countless hours listening to Dan, going back to the days with John Ford Colley. Nights are Forever is a classic. Addicted is timeless.

One of my favorite artists and one of my favorite songs. Mr. Dan seals has a pretty impressive story. He first gained fame as "England Dan", one half of the soft rock duo England Dan & John Ford Coley, who charted nine pop singles between 1976 and 1980, including the No. 2 Billboard Hot 100 hit "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight". Later he began a country solo career and had many great songs. Had a huge one with Marie Osmond "Meet Me In Montana."

I scrolled most of the comments and didnt see anyone mention it, so Ill say it.I can only watch this version of this song once a year. Any more than that and I'll just fetul up and cry myself to death. Its TOO damn sad. Dan had throat cancer by this point and summoned something powerful that day. Watching him struggle to vocalize with clarity, let alone pitch,is really hard. Nobody wants to see their friend or family member or hero or anybody in that position. Man when everyone takes up backing vocals impromptu, I cry everytime as hard as the first time. Dan Seals was a bad mother fucker.

Way to go Patreon!! Great selection. The Nashville Network (TNN) used to have a show where they brought in several artists at one time and they would sing and tell stories. This video is from one of the episodes. Waylon, Willie, Chrystal Gayle, T. Graham Brown, Bobby Bare, Glen Campbell, Janie Frickie, Roy Clark, just to name a few in the video, all great singers and have their own "rabbit hole.

Tasha, I'm so grateful that the Patreon voted for this song. I love Dan Seals, always have. I especially like his duets with Marie Osmond. This group with Dan Seals is a legendary. Just a few from my memory, you had Roy Clark, Glen Campbell and Crystal Gayle (dark black hair...Loretta Lynn's sister). Dan is no longer with us, but thankfully his music is still here for us to enjoy for generations to come. I love your reactions and your love for country music! 🌹🌹🌹

This is one of my favorite songs of all time. It was delivered with emotion and skill and it conveys a powerful message about life and setting priorities for what is truly important. It also warns of consequences for those that don’t have the right priorities. Truly a masterpiece level song in all respects.

This song and artist makes a great introduction to Western music. Dan Seals, who was from west Texas, like Michael Martin Murphey and Paul Davis who all enjoyed great success on the pop charts in the 1970s, without their hats, went on to record a number of western hits in the 80s and 90s but with their hats on! You should understand that until about 1980, there was "Country and Western" music on the radio. After 1980, they sit off leaving only country music on the radio and western music to rodeos and streaming services. Please enjoy more western music.

I can relate to this song also for things in my past and although it was decades ago this song brings all those feelings to the surface. A monster of a song. It was a number one country chart hit in 1986. Dan had another #`1 the year before that was voted best country duet in 1985 with Marie Osmond you might check out...Meet Me In Montana. Thanks for sharing.

Everyone who knows me knows that my number one song, my favorite, the one that’s been on every cd I burned and definitely now in my shuffle is Johnny Lee, Cherokee Fiddle and number two is Louisiana Saturday night by Mel McDaniel and number three is, Don’t Know Much About History by Sam Cooke ( I listened to this on 8 tracks 🤣). These 3 travel with me everywhere I go. I add others to my fav list but the 3 never change. I guess it reminds me of my childhood dancing and singing with my momma. Number one movie that’s never changed is Urban Cowboy. The soundtrack to that is fantastic. Enough rambling. Have a great day and God bless 🙏🤓❤️🇺🇸

I've loved Dan's music & talent ever since i was a small kid & heard his cover of Todd Rundgren's "Love Is The Answer". He shows off his chops in that song, 150%. EDIT: I choke up EVERY time i hear the line in this song, "Little Casey she started growing, and she started asking questions. And there's certain things a man just does not know." It shows so much vulnerability that im sure a LOT of single dads face.

My daddy(step, we don’t use that word) raised 5 daughters and always said if he had had a boy he would’ve named him STAGGER LEE, so my daughter ( his Dandy) did it for him.
