I swear this song is about my uncle Larry Hartlerode. Larry was guitar, banjo fiddlin, hootenanny yodelin old school story teller like no other. He taught me how to stand up for my rights and be a good father. He died almost two years ago and it has been the hardest two years of my life, but Larry will live on forever as a legend. Thank you for this great song. You made a fan for life.

It crystallizes a message that rings 100% true to the experience of loss, grief, and love... and the music matches it so perfectly. It speaks to my core.
